I'm not sure what you are are talking about is going to happen in (1 week) But I just talked to my source tonight, and he said he is going to have news on the potential 2015 GT350 for me Tuesday afternoon or Wed morning. My friends contact at FORD is meeting then, to determent the practicality and near future prospects of a 2015 GT350...He now is saying that he believes they are NOT going to have a 2015 GT350, but will tell me on the above mention date/s. I will let you know the second I hear the news...remember I'm just a parrot, :eyebulge: telling it like, and as soon as I hear it. (of course from what I believe is a credible source) sorry for looks like a false alarm on the first news...
Well..I guess I do not need "the" call Tuesday afternoon about the news !! it came out as he said it would in regards the 2015 GT350........So I can clarify, it was my source that "I" am in contact with...not the contact at FoMoCo, that said he believes they are not going to make a 2015 GT because of the timing of the 2016 GT350... I called my contact this morning to see of they are going to be any special options on the car. (i.e. color badging etc..)

TOPNOCH, I think I know what it is...My source (works for FORD) just told me he HEARD, not written, that they are going to announce soon, that they are making a Limited Edition 50th anniv. GT350 (quantity rumored to be 350 of them titled as a 2015...) am I right?
Another one of my threads about the 2015 GT350 from my source..of course he had the wrong numbers...I do not think anybody saw 137 as the number...lol

2015 Shelby is now showing in the 2015 Order Banks as a Job 3 offering. Not available to order yet, and no pricing shown, nor are Order Guides out yet, but colors/options/packages are listed.

The 2016 Gt350's are supposed to start production in the 4th Quarter of this year, so I wonder when these (likely very limited production) 2015 Shelbys will be built, especially considering that 2016 Mustang V6/Eco/GT production starts just before 3rd Quarter starts. That probably means they'd have to be built this quarter?!?!? Inquiring minds want to know....
Can I say "I told you so now"? I mentioned the Shelby coming as a 2015 model 10 days ago.

A dealer who purchases into the program to receive at least one allotment the first two years of production, Ford is now saying less than 10% of those dealers will receive the 2015. :frusty:
Dealers will be pissed!
Then sending out allocation information on the 16 before anyone finds out how ford will gift a magic few dealers a 15? Thats crazy and ass backwards.:crazy:

I didn't expect Ford to drop a GT350 in 2015 but it looks like they will build 137 of them.

The next question is what is special about the 2015 vs the 2016? Buyers of the 2015 are likely to pay a large premium to get one, unless there is something special about the first 137, they are end up overpaying for the privilege to buy one early.

I would think Ford would want to set them apart from the 2016 with some special colors, options, and badging, I don't see that in the announcement but would be interested if there is a difference.

Kinda makes a great arguement for a direct buy model doesn't it? You could lock in at MSRP, avoid the haggling and have it built and delivered to the dealer of your choice or to your front door.

But, that's not gonna happen. Raise your hand if you're willing to be the first to pay enough to buy a Porshe 911s Turbo for the joy of owning this car.

Since we're talking crazy. I want to know who's crazy.

My guess (other than the details we've already been told): the 2015s will be available sooner. :)

are they... AHEM... mountable on the regular GT chassis?
Probably not, but you are aware that all S550 Mustangs have aluminum hoods and fenders, right?
