Isnt the new Z06 at 3600lbs or just below? The M3/4 had to drop two cylinders to drop weight. Every other high horsepower performance car is between 3500-4000lbs. The GT350 is right their beside its peers.
You don't have money. You dont pay for your lifestyle. You don't have a full time job or full time income. Those are the facts.
Don't let your ego rights checks you can't cash. Enjoy the mustang but I would advise you not to talk yourself up. You have not accomplished anything yet.
I don't feel they need to or want to. Just because they can means nothing if it can't handle or perform like a modern vehicle. They may, yes but really who want a 4k or 4.2k lb car with 700+hp? I would much rather have a 3.5k lb 600hp car such as the z06 or zr1.
I dont believe Ford sees a reason to have the most HP on the block, specifically since it will not make the Mustang anymore capable on the street or track.

I completely disagree with you. We've hit the place of diminishing returns for 4000lb vehicles in the performance realm. Ford is proving that with the GT350. They are further proving that with the Ford GT. In fact most manufacturers are going to less cubes and TT not for increased power but for...
It's still not ready. It was never supposed to be ready this soon. Ford made a mistake by calling it a 15 to begin with. It will be over a year old before it hit the lots. How many 2016 models are all ready at?
Pony power is saying that dealers already received allotment info for both 2015 and 2016 model years.
I am saying that of the 30-35 dealer owners I have talked with they all know their 16 allotments but know body knows how Ford will decide where the 15 MY GT350 will be alloted.
