Beware of idiots
They have an RFID chip built into them, but that is a CR function and doesn't have anything to do with Ford.I thought I had read somewhere that the wheels were serialized to each car.
I could be wrong...

Now ebay is adding sales tax. Plan on throwing another K on top of the purchase price. Some have brought up the bumper. Magnetic is an easy color to match correctly. Any decent mobile pdi service can correct that bumper. As for wheels, there were two complete sets with tires on Ebay in May when I was at the track attack. One had a buy it now for $7800 shipped, and the other way $12,500 shipped. I was a dumbass and was arranging local pickup from the seller on the less expensive setup and someone hit the buy it now. If you want a set there around and just have to jump when they come up. You donāt have to drop 15-18k.
So you're saying someone on the internet was wrong??neither the wheels nor the wing are serialized to the R.

Be patient. They come around. A friend got a set for 10K with tires. I almost bit at 12K. I have two rear wheels and am shopping for two more fronts. I still have the factory fresh pristine CF wheels that came with my 2 Rs, but they won't see any action. Of one thing I'm certain, you can't go wrong buyimg extra CF wheels for the R. They will be worth a lot of money some day. That was one of the main reasons I was trying to work it off of Ebay. Weāre 8%, so it would have 8400ish with the tax. I screwed up and should of just bit the cost.
Thatās in the wrong place right? The Ā® (registered symbol) is behind āShelbyā on my window sticker. Regardless, that picture made me bust up laughing.Carvana has a nasty habit of advertising a GT350 as a GT350R. I think the trademark symbol on the window sticker confuses them.

But, they DO have a handful of Boss 302s on there. Saw an LS on there last year. Got my SLK55 AMG from them in February.
Maybe I am missing something but what is a "VIN R" ?This has become a very interesting thread. Happy for the OP who now owns a VIN R. But come on folksā¦just like a āGolden Ticketā CFTP GT500 without the CR CF wheels on the car, or in its owners possession and included in the sale, is hardly a āgolden ticketā. A GT350R without the CR CF wheels is a shell of the original car to investors (Carmax or a buyer/investor). As much as current car prices are elevated, this car will (until reunited with its original CF wheels) continue to be or perform to a fraction of its original intended trackable glory. And thus, as is, will sell and resell for a fraction of its R model potential value.
As we all know, the R is a very cool car. May I suggest...Maybe I am missing something but what is a "VIN R" ?
Absolutely our R models are very cool and maybe I have been on the road too long or just plain getting old but what is a "VIN R"?As we all know, the R is a very cool car. May I suggest...
The placement of the Ā® on the window stickers changed after 2017. Prior to that, several dealers were trying to sell GT350s as GT350Rs, most likely because the sales folks were just clueless and saw "GT350Ā®" on the window sticker. There were quite a few threads about it on this forum back then. Ford must have finally gotten tired of getting complaints about it.Thatās in the wrong place right? Just guessing...but I think he was simply referring to the car being an actual R instead of a straight 350Maybe I am missing something but what is a "VIN R" ?
