New defects, what would you accept?

I was lucky in as much as (according to the detailer) the only mark on the car was a small scratch on the splitter in the same place as the first pic...curiously.
I also wasn't about to hand over £35k for a car covered in 5000 miles of crud and wrapping, though I completely understand the viewpoint of those that do. I guess Peoples in Edinburgh are either a little better than other dealers or I got a new sponge ;)
As regards the OP marks the bottom of the splitter looks like its been kerbed and i'd push for a replacement along with the door card. It's a good suggestion asking for supply only but not sure they'll go for it. Panel alignment i'd probably have a go at myself and any marks that can be polished out or you can live with I would leave well alone. It could get a lot worse...

EDIT: You're Macrae and Dick in Perth? I've used them for the recall and servicing and my experiences have been largely good.

I have mailed them asking for the splitter to be replaced, the bootlid to be aligned and the door trim to be either replaced or supplied. I'll see what comes back.

Well, they have agreed to -
1. Align the bootlid.
2. Replace the scuffed side skirt (this was noticed by them and a photo was sent to me, it needs replaced.)
3. Replace the scuffed front valance.
They cleaned up the scuff on the drivers door trim and although there may well be some strategic photography going on, I couldn't honestly see where the scuff had been so I'm happy enough.
Hopefully there will be no more surprises!

Not sure i understand the reason for that? As it's probably harder to detect any scratches or defects on a dirty car than a clean one?

The main reason is that I don't want any hologramming or swirls on the car even before I pick it up. The last thing I want to do is to cut the paint as soon as I get the car to remove this stuff. Not to mention it's a pain in the as* to do on a car like this.

Any scratches which I can't see with a powerful white LED torch mean that they will polish out anyway.

The other reason I am doing this is to make sure the delivery mileage is as low as possible. They will not drive the car with wraps all over it from down south to Nottingham.

I just don't want anyone to touch the car and minimise the time someone is around it by taking this approach. You have to remember, to them it's just another car. Another day.

To me it's my dream car. My first mustang and probably my only mustang unless I get a 67 fastback.
