My job 2 build is a disaster! Can't be fixed so I am in the process of Lemon Law to get a replacement vehicle.
Don't want to rub it in, but what exactly is the issue ( or issues ) with your car ?

Have a look at this thread.

My car was built crooked, every panel, door, fender, hood, and trunk are all misaligned by a lot. Rear glass is drooping on the driver side, panels have very poor stamping, it looks like it was in an accident. No Ford collision center in my area will touch it, they say they can't fix it. There are pictures in the thread I linked.

Ford should be ashamed that they let it leave the Flat Rock Plant. FoMoCo should give you an equal purchase price replacement just out of basic decency and integrity.

I know this sounds naive as hell by I'll ask anyway. Doesn't anyone in Ford's management or executive ranks get held accountable for this sort of embarrassment? With public perception of a critical model in Ford's lineup being undermined by this kind of sloppy workmanship, I'd think some suit-wearing "public face of Ford" person would be explaining loudly and at length about (a) how much they regret allowing poorly assembled cars to be delivered to their customers, (b) what they're doing to make sure it doesn't happen again, and (c) what they're doing to make it right with customers who got sold sub-standard vehicles.

It appears that Ford could care less about fixing the quality issues but fear not "it's normal and designed to be within tolerance!" *eyeBULGE

Thanks for everyone's input. I purchased the older build date car with the premier package. I spent about an hour looking it over in detail and it was in great shape. The salesman mentioned to me that they should hire me to do their incoming inspections.

Now I get the clear shield installed on Thursday/Friday and then I can actually drive it.

build date only matters if there are flaws in the manufacturing...

so if there's not...who cares...you made the right choice

Congrats on your choice...premium trim wins your selection...do not be discouraged by the chatter here about quality control...everyone on this forum hopes that your car's quality build is as great as your smile is broad when you drive your new Stang-Baby!

I would choose options over build date. You will notice no difference on build date, options you will notice daily.
Same here, and also on how they test drive and the visual quality of the build.
