Looking for a new GT on the lots. I have narrowed it down to two both being the same price. One car has navi and the premier trim with the build date of 01/06/2015. The other car has navi and enhanced security package with a build date of 04/24/2015. I prefer the options on the first car but the build date on the second.

My question is how important is the newer build date?

Thanks for the help.

I would choose options over build date. You will notice no difference on build date, options you will notice daily.

Yea I would definitely go for the premier trim over the enhanced security package. Just give the car a good look over for any issues before you take delivery. Ppl myself included get too excited and don't even really bother to look over the car before they drive away

Anything else I should be looking for besides the rear glass and panel misalignment?

My job 2 build is a disaster! Can't be fixed so I am in the process of Lemon Law to get a replacement vehicle.

Open and close both doors, hood, and trunk. Check that the metal doesn't rub, check that the hood and trunk close nicely. If not, there may be some issues later on. If you squint you may find minor misalignment, but I wouldn't worry about that. It's the bigger, more obvious things that you'll want to look for. For the most part this car is spot on. But when it isn't - it surely isn't. A few folks on here can tell you all about that.

That sucks that you're still fighting that battle Jeanne. Good luck.

OP, have you considered ordering the exact 2016 that you want? Trust me, the wait will be worth it... and no buyer's remorse or compromise.
