I guess maybe it varies by location or something? As I said in my post it was right off the build site. I wonder how that works, as I trust you are getting your #'s from somewhere reputable.

Either way, the $1,085 isn't nearly enough to cover the mods listed in the post I was quoting.
Both are for MY17's without any discounts from the respective B&P's.

West Coast US, Oregon to be exact.

GM raised the cost for all 17 models. A bare bones 1SS is $37900. What a fail, the only difference between a 16 and 17 model is the Fifty logo on the steering wheel vs SS for the 16. They added some teen mode crap for the 17 model as well.

Price increase for the model that isn't selling well = Fail

It all comes down to the dealers. If the dealers sit on the 17s and don't want to come off the price some. Camaros will sit! I hope they learned their lesson.

They didn't.

The more glowing, orgasmic praises the auto press sings of the 1LE/ZL1/ZXX whatever..the more dealers will feel justified to not budge on it.

Car just does nothing for me but I also don't hunt for microseconds on my cars. I just build them to be fun to drive and couldn't care less if something is faster. It's definitely a great car for people cross shopping multiple platforms for a sports car. The side and front are doable, minus that stupid satin hood. The rear is what I visually have a hard time getting use to on the Camaro 6. I also find the interior to be confused at what it's trying to be. I have yet to see one in person that just made me want to have one.

I'm sorry man, the satin hood on the 1LE just looks retarded. Maybe i'm just not a fan of it but that's just my opinion. The conture of the car is okay but the hood just makes it look CHEAP.

I like it when it's functional..like it was on the old TransAm cars. I can see the benefit in long endurance racing (less glare, etc)...but this latest fad is all about image.

It is just a wrap... it can be taken off pretty easily. I am not a huge fan of it either on many colors.

Satin-finish black hoods originally were strictly for function (minimize glare/reflection for the road-race guys who can end up driving into bad sunlight angles at least once a lap. It caught on enough in the late 1960's/early 1970's to end up on a few cars from the factory.

Maybe you have to know the history to appreciate it  . . . or done the same thing as a mod yourself once or twice for the same reason.

I'm really close to your ratings, though I'd definitely drop the exterior on the Camaro down at least a point if not two, I think the Mustang looks way better.

No shit? That's kind of neat, I wonder if that's the first ever production wrapped exterior part.

I like what Chevy is doing with the Camaro, it heightens the rivalry between the Blue Oval & the Bowtie. Ford will surely produce a better handling/powerful Mustang next go 'round. Guys like me will continue to modify what they have, remove weight and out-perform the Camaro.

This is what American hotrodding is all about, which factory is making the fastest car and what guys are doing to their cars to out-perform that "fastest car" (think Hellcat or GT500). Good times, happy as hell I'm a part of it.

Just saw the Hennessey youtube video of zl1 and corvette zo6 comparison! Well, camaro with the six speed manual and corvette being 7 speed manual, corvette was able to pull away in the quarter. Considering they have the same powerhouse but 400 lb weight difference, thats normal. The funny thing though, the top speed of zl1 is on 5th gear and limited to 173 mph! John Hennessey did the test himself. My guess is the 10 speed will be quicker with a higher top end. We shall see.

The hood on the Camaro reminds me of a toilet seat lid especially if it's highlighted like the 1LE. I saw that somewhere and can't get it out of my head every time I see one. It must have a turd for a engine.
Recent add in the Atlanta market they were taking $2K off a ZL1 already. It's still $60K + tax. Can't warm up to the exterior.
