Good luck man! My Ranger has similar issues on both sides of truck. Terrible paint defects that got cleared over. Ford did nothing about it. But it's a lease, so long as I don't get dinged at end I don't care.
Hope yours gets figured out!

How the HELL did that get by QC....
Well, here's the anomaly of all this.
I'm VERY OCD with vehicles. I asked myself how I didn't notice this on delivery. And my dealer is also very good and they didn't notice anything.
It was about 3 weeks after taking delivery I had the truck out washing it and noticed the passengers side defect. As its a perfect line, I went over to drivers side to see if it had same issue. NOTHING. it was normal.
Texted dealer with some pics. Then a few weeks later I washing truck again and the drivers side now had the same thing. Same location on quarter panel. Almost identical length and width.
It's like they have come up over few months of ownership. The one on passengers side seems to bubbling up and getting worse. It's very odd.
Dealer took pics and sent to Ford for documentation. It's almost like it was a 2 step painting process and there is a seam in paint at the location and paint is coming up.

I dunno. It's strange. He has checked all his other Rangers and none of them have this issue... yet!
Anyway, not wanting to hijack this thread and get off topic!

My VIN got sent over last week and window sticker created on 3-26. Still waiting for car to go into production! Very excited to get her but also nervous about what QC issues I may find! 🤞

Is anyone else's order getting pushed back? My original build date was the week of April 19th and now it shows the week of May 17th. Anything you guys are also seeing?

Mine was scheduled week of March 29th and the Ford site, (link provided on this thread) shows "In Production 4/1). I just got back from my dealer and their system shows ("Built"). So, not sure.; both systems show same ETA of 4/26.

Figured I'd close the loop on my saga with my new car. Here are the after pictures from the repair. not 100%, but all things considered I'm going to take the car. Unless your looking at it/for it you don't even notice it now. I wish Ford had better quality control but it is what it is. While I want the car to be perfect it is still a car and things are going to happen. Picking up next weekend, going to be a long week lol.

I am glad you decided to keep it. The pictures make it look hard to see. Forget about it, and enjoy the car

keep us posted on delivery and congrats!!!!
You're almost done buddy. Just a bit longer. One way or another, I think you'll have it right when the weather is consistently nice

I agree;, I don't think anyone will notice it, especially if you're not looking for it. I was mistaken in my earlier post bc from the previous pics, it appeared that there was paint missing (about the size of a bb) from the hood also, but i guess that was just a reflection. Congrats and enjoy.

I still question the accuracy of the ford vehicle tracking site. It says my eta to dealer is 18 days but is yet to show in production.
