I’m in the same boat here. Snoopy49 let me know before Ford that my girl rolled off the assembly line Thursday. Just hoping not to get caught up in the closing.

Last year, Earl's report here was two days ahead of the dealers and saved my car from the lockdown in LA. FACT.

I can never thank him enough and you new 21 members/owners will soon understand.

Amen Brother!

Fingers crossed the “shuttering of Flat Rock for a week” on Monday is post production!
The problem is your car needs to be released from the plant before it can be shipped. Hopefully they are working today and will be able to get the cars released before the shutdown.

Make sure the dealer changes the Order Type to Retail and the Priority to 10.
It is, ordered my ‘19 GT PP1 (that I’m trading in) through them. I ordered that one on 12/21/18 and received it 3/19/19. Before I wanted it. LOL. Wanted it closer to Memorial Day. The GT500 would have been here around Memorial Day but the Flat Rock plant temp shut down might delay it a bit, which is fine.

Question guys. So, I know these things are broken in at the factory. So, what is the driving protocol when I start driving her. I don't plan on getting on it hard for at least couple hundred miles. I know you just need to vary the revs somewhat or is that old school thinking. And when do I get my first oil change, should it be 500 miles, 1000, or what? Thanks for any advice.

I believe manual states vary rpms/speed for 1st 100mi or so. I'm changing oil at 1k. Then every 5k after. But everyone will have diff opinions on oil change intervals/break in change.

The first time the engine fires up is when it is driven off the assembly line.
It is mounted in a test fixture that spins the engine with an electric motor, but not under its own power.

Earl,
Thanks man for taking the time to send this info over. I will definitely read the pdf's and view the video later today. It will be of great help, since this is the first "new" car my wife and I have bought since we bought our 1995 Explorer, which we still have and it's still going strong.
