Hello fellow Mustang owners,
I need your advice and suggestions regarding spacers. I'm considering installing 1/4" ≈ (7mm) spacers in the front and 5mm spacers in the rear. I understand that it is not an option that most of y'all prefer, since many prefer bigger sizes 20mm and above, but I’m comfortable with these dimensions, even if the difference isn’t noticeable.
I’ve come across several threads discussing spacers that don’t require to upgrade them stock wheel studs, and many folks suggesting that 5mm is generally the maximum to get around 7 to 8 turns of lug nut engagement. My question is this: is it safe to run 1/4" spacers with the stock wheel studs? I also read somewhere that the front wheel studs is longer than the rear ones so if that’s true, would installing 1/4" spacers at the front will be ok?
Additionally, I’d like your thoughts on which spacers brand I should go with. I’m looking at eibach, which is expenive, and accelatec, which is more affordable but lacks reviews. Do you think the quality difference between the two brands would matter?
I appreciate your advice. Thank you
