I've decided to add a pair of subs and amp to my 400A and it looks like tapping into the rear speakers and using a LOC is the preferred method.
I happen to have an old Scosche FAI-3A laying around and I've found the wiring diagram for it.
My questions are:
Is tapping the (post amp?) wires going to the rear speakers the best option?
Will the LOC I mentioned give desirable results or should I shop for another?
Here's what I'm planning to use, and I'm open to recommendations for alternatives similarly priced (budgeted ~$500) since I have very little experience regarding the quality of this stuff.
Rockford Fosgate R1200-1D amp
Two Rockford Fosgate P2D2-10
4AWG OFC wire kit/150A fuse
Voice coils in series and subs to amp in parallel for 2ohm load. I picked the 1200 because the next model down (750) wouldn't make the speaker RMS on 2 ohms. I'd like to avoid any heat issues. I chose 10" subs for the size. I'd like to cram them behind the rear seats.
Thanks in advance for any input.
