If you limit yourself to cars on the lots, then yeah, tough luck, considering low inventory and ADM... With car of this price I'd accept nothing but my perfect dream build and no biggie to fly for it if it saves couple grand :like: There's at least two dealers with below invoice pricing.

But yeah, if you want it near you, it's not bad to get the GT with PP1 and MagneRide and tweak the suspension a bit to your liking.

There's things that don't have immediate price tag on themselves for me - for example Tremec manual or more sporty automatic, nicer front fascia, awesome rear end with GT500 diffusor and magnificent tailpipes. Looks matters to me too.
You know, that's one of the things that most people comparing a GT to a Mach 1 don't talk or think about anymore, but the nicer front fascia is a huge plus for me. I never liked the last update of the nose, and the Mach 1 looks much better in my opinion.

Lol it look 3k better to me if it was mostly a body kit. Especially with the big spoiler.

I guess, the body work (nose, diffuser & Swing) is a little more than icing on the cake for me. The oil coolers, standard magnaride and adjustable exhaust, GT350 suspension and engine intake parts, being the cake. Mach 1 Track Attack should be cool too.

I have her and am looking forward to getting the summer only tires replaced Monday so I can actually drive it here in Michigan.
Congrats. Isn't winter over already or in a few days? I'll be putting on summer wheels in a week or two 😁

Excellent point and I wish you were my salesman when I put in my order. Basically I incorrectly assumed the HP was a fantastic value for the price with the wheels, suspension, etc as an add on with a car at 3500. The salesman (and I’m not blaming him but he should and his manager should know the customer) should have said hey what’s your intention on this? It’s coming with comp2’s, that front splitter is pretty aggressive , are you thinking you are casually driving this (not even daily), because it’s not going to be realistic especially if a spouse takes it out. They just punched the ticket but when I did more research I realized I hadn’t gotten the items I really wanted like the 700 package and something I could cruise in like my old 71 firebird or the 69 Impala I had. I nearly cancelled my order but went back to them personally and changed to a 700 and non HP and I’m stoked for it. The sales manager was snarky mentioning they couldn’t work with me i if I changed my mind again (wtf?). I told him exactly what I said here, know your customer that’s all. YOU should be the expert. For me it wasn’t about the money as I could have gotten a GT with a family discount but wanted something unique and if overpriced I’m okay with it as a 50 year old present to myself and the boys, but to your point it’s more than most need/want/value.
YOU CAN CHANGE OPTIONS ON YOUR ORDERED MUSTANG. At least until you get a VIN. Call your Dealer. I changed something on mine a couple weeks ago.

I am a soon to be new Mustang owner and all things being equal was looking for a Mach 1 locally.

However, after much searching have not been able to find one with the options that I am looking for.

I did however find a 2022 GT that checks all the boxes, for about $8,000 less than what an equal Mach 1 would cost.

I will not be doing any tracking/racing, this is going to be a daily driver for me so the question is, how much would I noticeably miss from the Mach 1 with a GT that has these options:

A10 Speed

401A PKG

Magnaride

GT Performance PKG

Security PKG

Active valve exhaust
Actually, that is not accurate. I did the exact comparison with the M1 I just ordered. The dirrerential is only about 2,500. Just go onto Ford's build and price site.

That's if you are ordering. But, you might find a better deal on the lot. The rub is that if you order a M1 you might not get it until late summer!

Thanks! I should have been more clear on my price comparison in that I paid several thousand less than MSRP on my GT where as I didn't see it was likely to get a similar deal on a Mach 1 any time soon.

It literally took them less than 5 minutes and one email sent to me to sign.
