So around 8 months back I bought a 140k mile ecoboost. It was all I could afford since I was 17 and had to buy the whole thing myself. Just wanted something fun while also pretty large and comfortable. The interior is pretty good overall. Literally almost nothing wrong with it other than a few scratches on the door and one tiny almost unnoticeable tear in the side of the driver seat (of course I always notice it but no one’s else ever has).
yet there is some very obvious issue with the interior that being the door handles.

I’m not sure if this is a common issue with the chrome but I can’t find any video online showing how to replace the door handles. I have the full replacements for both sides

and I’m just wondering if anyone knows how to replace the whole thing. I want to do this with my dad as we are going to fix the driver side door speaker anyways but I don’t want to mess anything up and be unable to lock or open my car. Just wondering if anyone here knows how to do it or can find a link to instructions or a video. Thanks for any advice.

Update: replaced the handles and the speakers in the door. Everything seems fine only issue is I kinda have the locked door light popped out but I don’t really feel like doing it all again.

It's not a bad job at all. Takes about 10 minutes to get the door panel off. Once the panel is off, you just remove the nut that holds the handle onto the door panel.

Here's a good video that shows how to remove the panel:

Ikr hat sounds simple. Just wish there was a video the part in particular. Is there not wiring involved with the power lock buttons?

Any wiring will simply unplug. There aren't usually two connectors that are the same in the same area so you really can't mix them up.
As for specific instructions, you're not likely to find any. But don't overthink it. You'll find it's pretty self explanatory once you're in there. If you're really worried just tak lots of pictures from a couple of angles at every step so you can refer back to them.

There won't be any wiring to worry about. Each has a wiring harness that simply unplugs and there won't be any confusion about what to plug back in or where. The only "gotcha" is the cable for the door handle, which you release as you pull the door cover off (it's detailed in the video below).

I am very confident you won't have much of any issue with this project and advise you to not over-worry.

Here is another good video to replace the door speaker, which may make you feel more confident.

Ok I’m far less nervous about this now. Thanks for the advice

Thanks for the useful information. I was just worried that I would have to actually solder the wires myself
