not the same car at 900whp It would be like twins with 900 whp vs any sc the higher torque takes over. The D1x will take over with more torque through out the powerband. I paid $225 more to have option to destroy p1x cars and whatever else gets in my way. After my trans gets built i will be stepping it up!
My statement holds true. Let see if you can beat my P1sc times first, then we can revisit your statement. Haha

600-850whp (arguably more), the P1x is the best choice. Glad you are looking at a Procharger.

You won't find anyone that has a D1x saying " man I wish I had bought a P1x instead of this D1x. but there's a guy in this thread that has a P1x who wishes he had bought a D1x. The good thing about it is you P1x guys can always upgrade to a D1x or higher using the same bracket. that's what I love about the Procharger. nearly everything is interchangeable...

The fact remains that a full tilt p1x car can make 900whp. If you want to beat that car, you have to make more than 900whp. Bigger does not always mean faster. With the wide range of head units offered by procharger, there is an option for every power level. With that said, the smallest head unit that meets the power goal will yield the best performance. Thats That the facts.

The OP want 750whp. P1x is the clear choice.

Prochargertech himself has stated the P1X will have a stronger midrange than a turned down D1X.

At 750whp on both systems, the P1X will make more power throughout the curve and be faster than a D1X. Now, not saying the P1X is a better blower, because it's not. If you want more than 900whp the P1X will fall on its face and the D1X will keep pulling.

The D1x is better than the P1x simply because its capable of making more power just like the F1a is better than the D1x for the same reason...The thing you' guys not addressing is the fact that no one just settles at their original hp goals, They always want more. The P1x is a good place to start but if you want to play serious ball you'll need some headroom to step it up and the D1x will gladly oblige better then the P1x. I bet all of us started out with an original hp # in mind, Odds are you didn't end up there. Op Make room now because when you taste 750whp your gonna want more...

You are banking on what could be, not what is at hand. For the OP, p1x is the clear choice. "Better" as you stated is an opinion.

So looking at the facts, my old p1sc combo is "quicker and faster" than your d1x combo. But your d1x combo is "better".

I prefer, like a lot of people here, apply the proper tool for the job rather than blindly follow the typical bandwagon culture we see so much of in the S550 crowd...”turbo>all”, “Whipple>centri”, “lOw EnD gRuNt> TOP eND PoWEr”

I had great results with a stage 2 D1x. I ran it with a 4.88 pulley when it was stock all the way down to a 3.90 pulley and went 8.79. It is a great choice and is very capable of mild to wild.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I want to clarify that whatever the max hp thats possible on stock motor and trans is what I want to be at. So because of this I think ill do the d1x, simply because when motor and trans are built can be turned way up. However i havent completely ruled out the p1x, still doing lots of research. Anyone know what the d1x would get me at with e85 right out of the box?
