Hi all,

This car checks pretty much all my boxes -- other than its mileage. Would an expert on here mind spitballing what you think I might be able to get it down to? I'm thinking $19,000 out the door.

This dealership has a shitload of stupid markups - wants $500 in document fees, $200 for tire nitrogen (!) $400 for tint and another some $600 for door edge guards and "Zaktek" paint protectant -- all things on top of the sticker that aren't mentioned and that I feel I can talk off the price.

Trying to do my due diligence on this platform but figured I'd ask the experts here first:

1. Does this amount of miles make you raise an eyebrow? Gotta admit I don't love the idea of losing the warranty in 2000 miles on a 2-year-old car, but my rationale was that I'll likely be modifying it fairly quickly -- hoping to have this car for 5 or so years. What do you feel is a fair and a good price for this car?

2. Is there considered a "best" model year for the S550? I'm following the upgrades available for the 2019, but I'm trying to save a little skrill for the Bronco when that comes out while still having some fun with a daily. Would love to avoid the pitfalls of going for a weird/dud MY if at all possible, and starting to see some 2017's come in off leases or on craigslist. I know the torque numbers and the A10 are nice for the new ones, but really prefer the look of the '15-'17.

3. Any final advice on this platform for a newb?

Thanks for reading.

Ive got about 20k miles on my 16 premium, the only issue I have had was a front lower control arm going bad around 17k miles but it could have been due to some bad CO roads. That’s not sometbing youd expect to replace that early. There have been some complaints about the Hvac systems on these cars... I dont really use the AC that much but in AZ im sure it’s priority.

Id be more concerned about it being a rental car previously, but you never know with used sport cars... 19 sounds reasonable, best of luck! The GT gets all the love but the ECO is a great car for the money... I’ve done some light bolt ons , intercooler and ford tune , its fun as hell in the mountains

I got my 16 Premium convertible on 9/11 of last year. It had 34,000 on it and was a rental out of Miami. From the paperwork I got with the car, it as had no issues other than normal maintenance done on it. Other than the document fee, which I am assuming is taxes, title, and registration fees, looks like the dealer is really trying to put the screws to someone. 200 for nitrogen is a total rip off. My local tire shop will do it for about 40.00. The price is in the ballpark of what I paid for my car. If you go that route, just get an extended warranty and you will be set for up to 75,000 miles. Good Luck!!!

Have them mark it down from the add ons .. or don't waist your time trying to convince them that you do not need the extras . If they do not comply walk out the door ...

Try this at the end of this month yeah the 30 th .. you should get a better deal that day ...

This is beyond confusing.

You show that you already own a 2018 EB, yet you you buying another?

And how many miles are on the car you're interested in? You never provided that info.

The words "this car" is a link to the one he is looking at. It is a 200A with 33k miles on it.

Concerning the mileage the car was a rental. That little info alone would cause me great pause, and more than likely make look elsewhere. I watched a guy doing burnouts with a rental EB while on vacation in Florida just last year. I'm quite sure he isn't the only person to wring the crap out of a Mustang rental. Good luck on our decision.
