I remember somebody from Ford saying there would be "X" amount of new Ford Performance vehicles by 2020 or so (can't remember the exact quote), but this is how they'll get it.

Be ready for the Fusion Sport to change to Fusion ST and they'll slap Ford Performance sill plates on it....
It was twelve vehicles by 2020 and so far we have:
1. Ford GT
2. GT350/GT350R
3. Raptor
4. Focus RS
5. Focus ST
6. Fiesta ST
7. Edge ST

I don't think they will be doing something else for the fusion before 2020 (I mean, we won't see a Fusion ST in this generation), but since Ford did that with the Edge I don't see impossible that the remaining 5 vehicles will be:
8. GT500/GT500KR (or GT500R)
9. Escape ST
10. Explorer ST
11. Ranger Raptor
12. Expedition ST? (or maybe Transit ST) hahaaha

I can see why they chose the edge for the first ST badge. Should have been the escape though. That chassis would have been sportier.

Also it’s blatently obvious - imo - that FP budget was destroyed. Nothing that screams research and development on that thing.

Ford is most likely killing the Fusion in 2020. I think the Bullitt will be considered a Ford Performance product, but we'll see. Also, there's gotta be at least 1 F-150 variant in there, with rumors of a Raptor V8 and also the idea of a new Lightning being tossed around in the rumor mill from time to time.

Seriously doubt they'll kill the Fusion. They still sell extremely well. They canceled the next gen refresh...very different from killing it entirely.

I don't see a Lightning happening (hell, there is not even a single cloud around ).. No, being dead serious the Raptor MAY happen if Ford considers putting the Superduty new "7.X" Engine on the Raptor (However, I don't see it being more powerful than the Raptor 3.5, more like it around the same HP.

I don't see Hackett very interested in offering the next gen Fusion in America anymore. I don't know what he's thinking by deleting that model from the America lineup, but well.... "Decisions".

Bmac, what do you think, is the GT500 showing up this weekend?

I don't think the standard ranger (#10) will be considered an FP car. Also maybe an FP Explorer?

4:36 mark. Ford display curtained off and behind doors!

I'm not sure you go to this level of hiding for one vehicle, but GT500, Ranger, and Bronco at one show? Hmmm. I'm just guessing but I will be there on the 18th for Industry day.
So, let me get this straight. Ford shrouded in a big black cover the whole booth to conceal...wait for it.. the Bullitt(which everyone already knew about) and a ST SUV!?!?!?! WTF! Could that really be it.? Just a tad underwhelming don't you think?

I don’t think the regular Ranger will be a “Ford Performance” Model and the Bronco will not be ready before 2020 (Actually, it will be a 2021MY).

Since we already have the Edge ST an Escape ST would be logical, with the 285HP 2.3L from the MKC.

Chicago show should be when it comes. this other stuff is fluff

I don't see how the ST and RS focus are designated different vehicles, i dont read up on them, does one carry a different engine that the other? ranger raptor would be one, not regular ranger.

When I watch the video I was thinking the same thing!! So they’re going to go through all of that secrecy to hide a lightly upgraded SUV and A glorified Mustang GT that we’ve basically already seen and known about. Doesn’t add up to me. Did you notice I asked Bmac Directly if he thought it would debut this weekend, and he didn’t reply!
