Push them hard, they want these cars gone and are doing some very good deals on GT's and Shadow editions, I'd push for 34k and 0% if you can and then just paying the maximum deposit they allow. :)

The pics of the 18 look lovely :D .. it's a great colour and I think the darker colours suit the 18 more as it takes your eye away from the (in my eyes) less cohesive front bumper/apron.

How it looks is always an opinion though, and let's be honest it's a facelift, not a radical new shape so if you like the Mustang in general, whether it's a 15 or an 18, the 'update' is not going to put you off buying one if you want one. Sure some may prefer one to the other, but it's hardly like you're comparing a Pagani to a Jimny is it  p.s. I like Jimny's

I don't really get the comments on the improved interior, apart from the digital dash, again nothing much has changed and I would assume most of the plastics and mouldings are the same material. It's not as if you're going to sit in a 15, after being in an 18 and think no way you could live with it

I'm interested in the mag ride, as I can see the benefits, and who wouldn't like a switchable exhaust you don't have to spend £1.5-2K on aftermarket to wake the v8 up.

The digital dash does nothing for me at all. I don't like the bar style rev counter at all, and I guess once you've stopped playing about with it, it will likely be set how you like it and left alone. I'm a luddite  and much rather prefer some nice clear analogue dials. I look out of the window (front and side) when driving ;) and some flashy dials don't appeal to me at all.

A Mustang is an emotional purchase, you want the v8, the smile when you start it up and the feeling of being a bit different. Both the 15 and 18 are firmly in that category

I guess for me it comes down to what's in my bank account, and what I think the car is worth to me to have on my driveway. For £30k - yes, there's nothing else really like it. For £45-50K .. hmmm I'm not so sure.

Anyway, the most positive thing I can think of the 18 Mustang is that in a few years when I'm due a new car, I still have the option of a big capacity naturally aspirated manual car, because if the Mustang disappears then there's basically nothing else around :tsk:

Got my new GT 350 springs (and CB005 kit) ready to go on... all I need now is the car!

Took it out today for a proper run around canterbury/ashford/Folkstone/home.
I know its new but it felt so tight and planted to the ground.
The magnaride soaks up the bumps and pot holes and iam driving in sport mode most of the time.I was nervous because i thought that maybe my 15 would be better
suspension wise, with coilovers and BMR bits, but the magnaride is just so good.I dont think it needs anything else.(I might put the cb005 on) but I'm not sure it needs it.Lowering would be just to make it look better, whether that has any effect on the magnaride system i dont know, but i dont even feel the need to do that. The active exaust is a pure delight to listen to,it snaps crackles and pops,i haven't noticed any drone and its well worth the option.I think the exaust tips could have been better finished so thats a negative. The weather today has been piss poor,so I've been sensible only opening her up on the M20.Haven't really noticed any difference in HP between the two yet but waiting for an opportunity to put the pedal to the floor. The interior is much the same to be honest, but the digital dash is the only big thing thats changed, and its a positive change for the better imo.I loved my 15 with all its ups and downs but i must say this is a better driving car.
The suspension,gearbox/clutch feel alone makes it a winner imo.Was its worth the 15 grand extra i had to find, well time will tell, but those that have ordered I'm sure will be very pleased they did.
My wife said today, it definitely feels better than our 15 but i still hate the front.

Have you had the chance to check if the headers have the same kink on the drivers side as the 15-17 ones did or did they fix this on the 18?

I have to check, but i think i saw a Ford design engineer say that the RHD had slightly less HP so it must still have the bodged headers.

Well, all Euro cars have slightly less (tune based) but the LHD ones don’t have the botched headers. The UK brochure shows the same power as the rest of the Euro cars, hence my question as if hp is the same, maybe they sorted it out

Yes agreed, we need to know if the right hand header is still botched

Its funny that when you compare the 2 you do notice straight away that it feels better. The gear changes are smooth and the clutch feels lighter. My 15 was notchy from 1st/2nd when cold and you could almost feel and hear the gears and bearings when slowly moving in traffic.I accepted the way the gearbox was and assumed it was"there all like that".
I'm guessing its the same gearbox in the 18,but i think they changed the flywheel/clutch??
I'm hoping that Parts that were in the 15 that were known to be failing have not been transferred over to the 18 but only time will tell.
