Will he able to get the car (LE) from somewhere else? Or is he just dropping the idea completely? I can understand if he does not want it now. :shrug:

He is pretty upset with ford, mostly the dealer, so I am not sure if he wants to even get another LE. But as far as I know, nothing is stopping him mid September from walking in a dealer and buying one.

I have been a Ford man my whole life and I think they have really mucked this whole mustang thing up. People on here will defend them but I have seen several new cars launched and this has been a marketing joke. The mess should have been named operation Hogan's Goat. Almost enough to make me tell them to hang their 550s in their butt. When this car hits it best be perfect!

Oh and for all the armchair legal pundits out there it makes absolutely no difference how he got the dealer guide. Given to him or stolen. If you publish copyrighted material that is a crime and Ford could sue.

I think you completely missed the context of his post. He has been a very enthusiastic supporter of this car, and he had a great story of how he came to get what was taken away.

I re-read his original post and see no drama. I think your comment is not in keeping with how Mustangchief has presented himself on the forums.

This has happened to another user that I know. He was told never to come back to this site, etc and could no longer post. This was a mandate from Ford Corporate. They watch this site like a hawk!!

...oh they did fudge the whole thing, and this forum is 100% under watch by Ford guys and whatnot for various reasons; we already knew that anyway. For what it's worth...DON'T ask me how I specifically know that :tsk:.

Still a fan of the company and possibly the car...but things haven't worked out so well up until now. Ford has work to do and will eventually get things straight, it's just a shame that S550 turned into a bit of a mess at the start. I wouldn't blame him for walking away and having a bad taste if his story is true...total shame, but I'd do the same and not think anything of it.
