An unfortunate situation all around. :(

What we can take out of this is that someone or some people within Ford keep a fairly close eye on this site. (As I have suspected after Ford announced HP numbers fairly quickly after the long meme thread good-natured ribbing of Ford being so slow to release numbers)

In the long run I think this is good for us. Easy way for us to communicate with Ford in a back-channel sort of way. I think it is obvious as well that Ford is overly sensitive with this Mustang release as well. I've watched releases of other vehicles and not seen this level of anxiety I would call it on the part of a manufacturer. I'm hoping it pays off. :)
I think they've had a ton of anxiety of finalizing a design...redoing the process after changing opinions, missing initial hopes of a Spring release, etc and are hopelessly on edge due to feeling as if they've missed their launch goals... this car is stress and pressure beyond belief from a business standpoint. The car is going global with a design that some American enthusiasts will initially think is too soft...same goes with the engine and spec drama that you've mentioned. They're being apprehensive and don't want too much negativity being spread...mama bird is watching out for her baby.

But as you've said, I really think we should be open as can be here so that we can let Ford know what they've done wrong, what they've done right, and how they can improve of fix what we don't like. There's no use in us acting like sheep and only stating positive remarks and defending every little detail about the car and its launch in support.

This forum is a blessing for information and fandom, but it's easily the most positive forum out there in regards to the S550...which it should be, as it is a fan site by nature with a link to Ford itself. I'm just glad that this place exists...the info has been great.

Possible. Regardless of liability, if Ford sued, even if they had no case, they could make it a very long and costly legal battle. Not sure if Ford would do that but I know Fender Musical Instruments has done that in the past. They find a small town guy who builds a few guitars a year and go after him. Even if the guy is perfectly within the law, the legal battle alone would bankrupt him. It's how fender makes a statement to discourage people from doing things they don't like. To proactively protect their best interests. And it works. No one can afford to call their bluff when you are up against an international corporation with an annual revenue larger than some countries.
Fender and especially Gibson are evil....love Fender to death, but the stories out there are strickening.

They say curiosity killed the cat, but here goes. MustangChief had no location listing but Robinson02 does, Little Rock AR. Since they live in the same city and with the partial dealer code of f232, I would suppose the dealer is one of these three maybe? These are the only ones within 50 miles that match the prefix f232.

Just thought I'd do some investigating. :D

Well, ain't you the drama queen.:gossip:

You looking for hugs and kisses and somebody to tell you that your booboo will be all better tomorrow?

Grow up and get a thicker skin.
Did you post that just to get attention? Did your mommy and daddy not give you enough as a kid so you make comments like this to get attention?

If it's the same dealer where you saw the yellow ecoboost, comparing those pictures and using google maps, I would say it's Crain Ford Jacksonville!

Anyone who wrote that post "http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/note-mother-ford-2867.html" is a massive Ford enthusiast and an ambassador who equates owning the Mustang with parenting - and a fun person to have on the forum (those comments on that threat had me cracking up).

It's sad to see him go but once this nonsense blows over (including potentially law suit threats etc) I'm sure he will be behind the wheel of a very nice S550. You just dont take away a child from a parent!

Haha! Indeed!

So what to do with this information? :paddle:
Seriously that was some brilliant work :clap2:

Whichever dealer it was they are on this forum already reading everything.

Seriously, you need to call this man back and offer him his LE at the original negotiated price (or lower) and apologize yourself for acting like a butthurt baby who got their hand smacked by Father Ford. (yes that's a reference to MCheifs post about these cars being like our kids)

You have just crushed this mans dreams, bravo stealership, bravo.

If Ford revoked the LE allocation from the dealer, then how can you blame the dealer?
