If you have a little or even hard time getting into & out of a low profile car (Mustang among others)...It's nice to have one setting that has the seat all the way back and at its highest setting & one for your favorite driving around town & one for spirited driving.

It (seat) being set Back & High makes it so much easier entering & exiting the car-->IMO!

I have mine set like this on my current DD.

When you are parking just hit the In & Out button & when_____YADA-YADA-YADA!

Wow, thanks for that tip. I was thinking I'd not use this feature at all, but this sounds like a perfect use.

Yep I can totally see that for that scenario. ;)

Does anyone know of a good after market Blind Spot system? That's the only thing I want from 401A because I don't want the shaker, mem seats or HD radio.

Yup, and I've actually found myself in the unfortunate situation where I'm in a dead area and can't even get acceptable data throughput to allow the phone's map software to update. So unless you have the foresight to download the map data locally to your phone (assuming your app of choice supports that feature), you can get stuck in that situation.

As long as the built-in nav works well, I'd much rather use it and its much larger screen than my cell phone. The phone is good backup though.

I just find Nav is pretty useless. For most areas, I already know the area and for where I'm going new, I usually check it over before I leave and the phone on voice mode always works like a charm. I don't even have it mounted on the dash, its just sitting in the console.

That approach works okay sometimes for me also. But I generally like the having the real time data, like time/distance to next turn/destination, surrounding streets, etc. visible at a glance. To get that with a phone, it has to be mounted, which is what I'd prefer to avoid.

I also think it's easier to make changes to routes on the fly more safely when using an in-dash system.

But to each his own. Some people don't need navigation assistance enough to justify the added expense, and that's fine.

But I do think there is something to the whole resale angle, for those that do not hang onto cars for a long time. Most buyers expect a premium vehicle with a big 8" touchscreen to have navigation capabilities. May be a deal breaker in some cases, but not in others.

Yep totally agree. I do hear a lot of people who have bought new cars say basically this..."Why do I need navigation when I have my iPhone already?" That seems to be the consensus.

Personally, it's kinda ridiculous that systems don't just tie into the iPhone or Android navigation App directly via their systems already. They already do this for the music part of the MP3 players or iPhones/iPods and you can bluetooth in also.

I think Navigation is something that will phase out sooner or later.

In fact, if they offered something where the center console just controlled the climate and other features and left the radio/music/nav to the device I have then I'd want that.

The Nav is way more than just directions to me.

I like having it calculate the time to destination using real traffic info, and being able to suggest alternate routes. Of course, I think that only comes if you get the Satellite Traffic service, but I'm good with that.

For road trips, I do use a travel map, but the odds of my Mustang getting more than 100 miles from home is incredibly unlikely.

Yup, this is ultimately what I would prefer. Maybe if we ever get the promised Applink functionality with MFT, it will accommodate something like this.

Personally I blame Apple and Microsoft, more so Apple and I'm a huge Apple fan. They could have easily developed a car system to put in all these vehicles and it would just help them sell more iOS devices.

They did. Look up Apple CarPlay. Problem is getting all these manufactures to get on board.

If you have 0 issues with your 6M why are you so adamant about getting a 6A?

The 6R80 is an amazing transmission. Reliable, quick shifting, and the Hp it can take in factory form is unbelievable. I will be stopping by my dealership Saturday morning and placing my order for a 2015 6A 5.0.

I agree completely.

I was going to get it but now I'm not. Just not worth that much more money at least for me.

I mean if you have electronic seats, then the memory seats should just be standard with those.

HD radio is kinda useless for me. Listen to my iPhone/iPod the majority of time.

As for the Shaker Pro system, I'm sure it's cool but personally I don't plan on jamming out my tunes to take advantage of the 12 speakers. The improved mid range Shaker is fine enough for me. Plus the CNET article didn't think the Shaker Pro was that improved over the Shaker.

Lastly the BLIS is the only feature I want from this package and honestly I think it's a sh-tty choice for them to package it in an infotainment package.

Correct...but it's still not in any thing yet. By now it should have been :rant:

And of course it's slated for FUTURE vehicles, including Ford. Why they didn't get it in the 2015 Mustang just makes me shake my head..this would be another awesome feature for the S550.

The question is how do you get in it our S500s in the future since it's obviously not coming with our new model?!?
