Well your active exhaust won’t ‘work’ as in noise reduction (without strangulation).

The AE exhaust just diverts flow from a partially silenced part of the muffler to a well silenced part of the muffler.

If you use a single pipe (per side) the valve will strangle the engine.

If you use a double pipe (per side) it will do no more than divert gas from one unsilenced pipe to another i.e. nothing.

I haven’t heard one, but the general consensus is that the coyote sounds crap if completely unsilenced.

So my plans for the future is to get a hellion twin turbo which I had talked to hellion and they said I wouldn’t be able to use a full Corsa extreme. I just want to make my exhaust louder so I wouldn’t get so bored of my stock ones without spending too much money. Would you have any recommendations? I’m still new into car scene I’m only 19 so I don’t have a lot of knowledge!

What do you mean by your response?

Might as well get hood dumps if you want it loud and you’re going to TT it 😂

but they probably meant that you can’t use the full catback with the hellion kit. Assuming it’s the twins that mount underneath the car. But you can probably still use a corsa extreme set of mufflers (axle back) and then custom exhaust workbetween the mufflers and the twins. Not sure if they offer the pipe work after the turbos or not

I’m most likely going to get top mounts just because I wouldn’t want to run into any clearance issues and scarp the turbos/oil lines!

I wish I was able to get hood dumps without the police down here worrying about it but once I’m in texas I will most definitely!

would you have any suggestions,I’m currently in the state of saving up money for twins but I am restricted to doing crazy modifications because of the cops but my plan was to do exhaust works to become content for now but not spending money on a catback right now then finding out I can’t use it with my twins

thank you for explaining it a little more simpler

I have long tubes and the x pipe from the gt350 with the stock active exhaust mufflers and it can be loud (not corsa loud) and then I can toggle quiet mode if I need to for early mornings and police.

I did the x pipe first. It was a solid bump in volume. Then added headers and its Perfect for my liking.

side note - I mean zero offense by this. But at 19 and just getting into cars - pushing 1000hp might not be the best idea right off the bat. Maybe do all the bolt ons and run e85 for a while. Learn the car as much as you can. ~500whp will still be extremely fun! And you’ll probably need to get a bunch of supporting mods as well for the TT

Of course man I’m here to learn! Iv had my car for about 4 months now and I already put 5k miles onto it I’m very comfortable with the car/power. I wouldn’t be able to push to 1000hp anyways, the e85 here suck and I’m not buying a barrel. The best we got down here is 91 I’m just looking to be around 650hp+ or around there reliable.

I don’t want to get full bolt ons just because I want to waste money on long tube, full exhaust etc. if I won’t be able to use it for my plans

my car only has 7k miles so she’s going to be with me for awhile “project car”

You could always go the supercharger route. Then the bolt ons wont be a waste and you can do whatever you want with exhaust

That’s my mindset with my mods. I got mine track capable and now I’ll slowly add the supporting mods needed for a blower. So when the time comes I won’t have a bunch of stuff to change

Exactly what I’m trying to do I’m trying to slowly go closer towards my goal but without making changes and spending more money. At this point I just want to change my exhaust loudness because Iv gotten used to it already I wanna hear pops

Whipple are very nice of course but in my mind I wouldn’t want to deal with the heat soak, twins are just something else high risk high reward type of thing ig.

The pops will get old after a while. But you can get them with a tune that has burble logic enabled and for that you’ll need to remove the cats. Otherwise you’ll destroy them. A friend of mine destroyed his bmw cats with a burble tune.
