So my 2019 stang is In the shop getting forks replaced. Thing about upgrading the clutch to eliminate lockout and cause I’m sure a Barton shifter will definitely Void the warranty.

debating between
ram clutch vs mcleod rst Dose any one hear have any experience with either brand.

I have an rst clutch installed and you need more time to get used to it . It has a different bitting point feel and noisy lil bit specially with low rpm. All the noises are normal nothing to worry about and sometimes it cause hard shifting or going to first. This is my experience and i think it differs from one and another since its a clutch.

I chose the RXT due to having a whipple. I also added a Barton hybrid attached to the transmission. Same as the RST, learning curve starting off in 1st. Still in breakin period, getting some "chatter" but people say it should clear up with more miles. Def more noise than stock, but the shifter being mounted to the Trans is part of it. So far, I like the combo...

You will get used to it soon or later. It took me 400 miles to get used to the feel of the clutch and when to shift. When i drive someone else’s stock mustang their clutch feels smooth regardless of being heavy or light. Also my mechanic told me to press the pedal at least 3-5 times from time to time when the car is on and in neutral position. This is the case with my RST. I dont know if RXT requires same procedure.

I added a barton hybrid shifter at the same time. Brand new learning curve, with the springs the barton is much stiffer than the stock shifter. The springs will probably loosen up with time. Mounted to the trans so that adds to the different feel from the stock setup.

How much does it cost to have a barton shifter with installation ? I might consider an upgrade in the near future.

I did the Mcloed RST with SS lines and changed the pilot bearing ( high load ) aligned with the MGW X -SPEC shifter for better performance abilities.
Bought the RXT and yet still thinking to sell it as I was going 1000+ then I decided to keep it civil to 730ish

Exedy ET05SRFD 2011-17 Mustang 5.0L Organic 23 Teeth 8 Bolt Twin Disc Clutch,
paired with MGW. Very happy no chatter, great peddle feel.
