MT-82 fluid change

I just ordered some Royal Purple Synchromax and a fluid pump from amazon. Any tips on the fluid change? I have read in some places that you need to fill it up until fluid comes out of the fill hole, and others stating that the GT needs precisely 2.7quarts, and not be filled till ooze.

To be honest don't over think this...I did and when I did the job it was just as easy as filling the gas tank.

Open top bolt...then open bottom bolt to release old fluid. Close bottom bolt, then start filling fluid till 2.7. My pump wouldn't allow me to get all the fluid out of the bottle so I did all 3 bottles...then combined the left over from each bottle into one and topped off with that. When I was down I had put in roughy 2.7 so it all worked out.

Track Days are spelled out in the beginning of the owners manual, it's a performance car. They can void anything they want even if you drive it to Church. Dealership relationships go a long way. If a record of regular service exists they have to prove the failure was caused by use outside the intended use of the vehicle. Now if you go in complaining about tire wear, brake noise, paint chips etc, expect to be laughed out. Ford also knows a typical track day owner is more likely paying attention to inspections and services than a normal customer and unless it is obvious that the customer did something to cause the failure it's a battle they wont bother fighting. Cars on a track tends to sell cars in the dealership to higher than normal incomes.

Track use service is not much difference than Severe Duty Maint. schedules.

I am pretty sure they can void it for track, I mean they have line lock but it says in the manual if using it and it causes damage they will not cover it.

How hard was everyone's fill plug to remove? Mine is really in there. Letting it soak in some PB blast

probably has loctite on it. I used a wrench slotted over the hex bit to crank it open since a ratchet wouldnt fit
