I haven't had to change my settings, and I don't have mine connected to a switch to disable when I'm not at the track. Seems like there shouldn't be an issue since the 2 step should only be activated when your clutch is depressed.
That's the issue if I go to down shift on highway and my 2 step is set to 3500. I push clutch in, 2 step is activated, i let off clutch say rpms are 4 or 5k rpm, motor like stalls hind then takes off. Only happened once. Won't do that again.

And you are at idle rpm then go WOT, I assume it's similar to the WOTBOX.
Idle or downshifting on the interstate, doesn't matter. As soon as the clutch is let out, the light on the MSD turns off.

Does the MSD sense throttle position or is it just a clutch activated rev limit?

I may have never had an issue since mine is set at 5300. That's what I used when I was NA. Haven't figured out what I'll use now that I am FI since the Midwest weather hasn't allowed me to experiment yet.

Clutch activated rev limit.
Well damn then, sry was trying to help with the assumption it sensed TPS like the wotbox.

Definitely sounds like you need a inline switch to turn it off when not needed.

I think I'll just turn it to 7500 when not at track. Don't want to risk hurting anything on simple down shift

Thanks all

2 step doesn't really control boost. Boost is controlled by rpm. So at 3k rpm car a mat build 6psi but case b with small pulley may produce 12psi at 3k rpm
On an evo and a subaru I can take the 2 step, run an alternate fueling and ignition map, pull out timing through that load area and add fuel and create as much boost as I want at any RPM. Technically I guess you would call it "antilag"

And all make 200hp.

I'm just kidding heh that's pretty cool

Green/violet wire at the bottom clutch position sensor is what u want to tap into. Use the solid blue activation wire, not the blue/white like the directions state
i know this is a old post but do u have any picture on which one ur suppose to tap into? im having the same problem he was having
