I just think its kind of funny that Ford also thinks there front end design on the 18's are awful. I mean they literally back tracked for the flagship mustang, that should tell you something
can you go into abit more details in your original post as far as "Miles better" that does not give any information. Is it more powerful? is it smoother? I mean you need to be more specific
I drove with them on a new edge on a road course at dominion raceway, ,the tires were incredible , especially for the price. When 949 racing releases the 18 inch wheels for the s550 Ill be buying a set.
Also I want to mention I didn't make a post asking what was better to run lol. I literally just made a post stating the base gt brakes suck in my opinion. There was no if this then that involved.
And maybe im being biased here but seriously the entire kit for the 6 piston set up is a grand. A grand. and you want to spend how much on rotors and track pads? I love the fact you guys are sharing this information but seriously come on. From a pricing stand point and as far as resale goes its...
please tell me how you plan on running the cooling duct kits on a base Gt brake set up? The back plate literally blocks the path and theres no way to attach them.
Well then. So.... all I was saying is that... well... I have a base gt.... I track my car about 12 times a year... and... I noticed brake fade in my second session but I was driving the car fairly hard.... I then drove my friends PP car.... and drove it the exact same way... and did not notice...
I mean that's true. but if im involved in a wreck and I have an aftermarket seat in the vehicle I was under the impression insurance would deny the claim.
Most my height is in my legs but it just felt like my body was shifting all over. Since the mustang isnt my daily I may invest in a bucket seat and harness/bar. Im assuming taking the factory seat and bolting in the aftermarket shouldnt be too time consuming so maybe I can just do it when I get...
But the second car was on a factory brembo 6 piston set up and had NO fade issues and 100 percent stock pads and fluid as well. I'm just saying for the price of the factory 6 piston set up it just makes more sense to upgrade since factory pieces seem to do fine on the track.
Arent the PP wheels staggered? 19x9 up front and 19x9.5 in the rear? If you want to be cheap pick up a set of rear PP wheels and put them in front or go for those Apex wheels. They are very nice and pretty affordable. I was in a bind and went with some cheap ass AM racing wheels so i can run 6...
THIS! I've just seen a few threads of people asking questions and since I was able to test these two vehicles back to back at the exact same track on the exact same day I felt it was worth me sharing my opinion. I do not think my brakes did terrible, and honestly if you are not an aggressive...
