hey guys,

So I'm looking to do my very first mod on my GT/CS. I've been contemplating doing an MRT stainless steel h pipe. On CJ pony parts it has gotten excellent reviews. with a stock system, how are the power pains with just the h pipe? Thanks in advance

I have an X Pipe...from what I have read, do not expect any power gains from this mod, just a much nicer rumble from the exhaust.

Perhaps a gain of one or two HP. I liked trading the weight of the resonator for the weight of the H-pipe more.

Yea no gains, I have that same H pipe. Sound is pretty much exactly what I wanted, sounds like a real V8 now and not so much that I interrupt the neighbors.

CJ PonyParts claims more mid range pull. Just spoke with my buddy who did the h pipe, and he said noticeable difference in power.

Maybe, I can't say for sure but it has felt a little stronger. I attributed that mainly to air temperatures being low.

Get rid of the 1-1/4 crimp on the rh exhaust pipe after the catalyst . Then the 2"Id pipes at the connection of the silencer ...

American Racing Header H Pipe is also a good one to consider at this price
