He mentioned a few times that it's what's expected of a track purposed car etc, which I think all the other reviewers would acknowledge. That's where the line is drawn for me between the R and that car... that and the cockpit.

He did make a huge fuss about the Focus RS ride being harsh. I think he forgave it more as he thinks people would expect it from the 1LE.

I had a Focus RS for a short while and the suspension really sucked.

Probably just personal opinion. I'm surprised he didn't go into more depth on that. He usually does.

No doubt that GM interior is much better than the GT350 is or that of any Mustang. I think most can agree, there is no argument there. After watching this review I went back and watched his gt350r review. And like most other gt350r reviews, the excitement over the car and the drive is is shared throughout the automotive community for those I've had the opportunity to drive them. Comparing the two reviews he is much more excited about the R than he is over the ZL1 1LE. Hence why he choose thr R. My personal opinion is that the gt350r is the stiffness I would want in a car for the track that I would drive back and forth and occasionally on the street. My old GT350 track pack was probably a step down as it was more A Streetcar than a track car as it was just softer overall. I think that's the magic Ford truck with the GT350 s especially the gt350r. You can get the car to the Ragged Edge and be completely confident and then drive home very comfortable.

When you can see him shake and hear his voice vibrate from the stiffness of the ride, it doesn't matter what he says. I think super stiff the suspension would get old for street driving pretty quick.

I still like the interior of the Mustang better, I guess I'm just jaded because I can't stand the Camaro because of the horrid visibility you get when you sit in it. But then again I prefer the stripped out interiors of cars like the Ferrari Scuderia and Challenge Stradale over the F430 or 360 interiors.

My wife comments regularly about how comfortable the GT350 seats are and how good of a ride it provides in comfort mode on the highway, it would be hard to trade that away in favor of the Camaro also.

When I mentioned that the interior is better I should have qualified that by saying better overall materials and construction. I I didn't mean to imply that the layout was better I personally do not like the Camaro layout but there are better materials in that interior than are in the Mustang and that is a fact not an opinion. The number one thing I can't stand about my gt350r interior if you're into stripped out Interiors, which I am, is the dash. The dash is the worst especially with the faux stitching.

It's all subjective, but I prefer the more cohesive design of the GT350 interior (despite the fake stitching) over the Camaro, though the Camaro materials appear (at least in the photos) to be of higher quality. My wife commented how she prefers the symmetry of the Mustang dash, and I agree. To me, the Camaro dash appears like a 1950's interpretation of a futuristic design come to fruition - kind of "Robby the Robot" like in appearance.

The Camaro steering wheel design is certainly superior, IMHO. They say "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" - Those Audi TT vent/controls are a nice touch, though they seem too low for A/C function, with cold air sinking and all; the carpeted foot wells are nice as is the way the door panels integrate into the dash, though that broken up instrument binnacle has disturbing esthetics. The glove box door latch should also be placed closer to the driver, like the Mustang. Additionally, there is nothing interesting to look at in the passenger space.

Overall, I think the Mustang is more timeless, and will look better years down the road.
