I purchased the MP Concepts LED Reverse light and if any of you have tried to install it, you've noticed that the color of the driver's side tail lights are not the same as those in the instructions. Some of the people who have 2020+ GT500s have posted that they figured out the wire situation, but didn't say what wires. I called American Muscle support and they said to bring the car to a shop and have them install the lights. I've already connected the reverse light part of the light, but haven't touched the wires for the daytime running light and brake light portion of it. I was hoping somebody on here might have figured this issue out on your installs. Thanks in advance!!

Awesome, thanks!! I think I need #2 for the brake light, but any idea which one might be good for a DRL? May not even be possible so I understand. Thanks so much for the post though! Between watching the install video and matching the pins from what I could see, I might have figured out and will post what I find out.

Has anyone figured this out? I installed my light per the MPC directions and my right side directional makes the 4th brake light blink too. With the brake on, the right side directional doesn't work. Everything else seems to be working fine.

Any updates to stop the blinking when turn signal is on?

Yes, you need to add a resistor on each side from the signal to ground. I bought the resistors, but have not put them on yet. Contact MPC and they will set you up with the part number to order.

Okay everyone I’ve figured out how to fix this issue, so basically you do everything according to the video except the blue wire from the reverse light, instead of connecting that to the taillight harness bring it up into your headliner and splice it into your 3rd brake light harness(wire extension needed). Basically the light isn’t able to distinguish between the taillight lighting up for braking and lighting up for turn signal use. The red wire connected to the green/purple wire in the harness simply controls the drl functionality and the blue wire controls the flashing, so when you brake or use the turn signal the signal transmitted to the light is the same. So if you leave the red wire in the taillight it will retain drl function but with the blue wire connected to 3rd brake light it will only receive flashing signal when actually braking. Hope this makes sense as I figured the out from trial and error as MPC customer support is nonexistent and none of the threads seem to have info on this and I hope this can help others who have this problem.

Make sure the blue wire going to the 3rd brake light is spliced into the red wire not the black one as it isn’t a ground wire
