Where does it show $492 Trade In?
$492.50 is the final cost before tax and shipping. The lights are on sale for $977.50. When you send in your OEM units you receive a credit of $485. This makes the final price of their lights $492.50 before taxes and shipping.

Yeah, just play with the different options before you put the bumper cover back on. With a little luck they will blink simultaneously. You may even decide to put the factory blinkahs back in.
No way would I put the OEM blinkahs back in. They aren't smoked and LED. The Morimoto blinkahs are so much cooler looking.

I called yesterday and they said they are not taking trades for the gt500 lights right now? When did you get yours and what did you do to get the trade in allowance?

Sorry for taking so long to get some evening pics. It was very hard to capture but here's a few with the red modules installed on the car.

I'm confused. I followed the link to the Diode Dynamics page and they state that ANY LED headlights are not DOT approved. They are only approved for off-Road used. I could swear that the video of the Morimoto LED Head lights stated they were DOT approved. Before I spend big $$$, is there confirmation that these are in fact DOT approved as headlights for on road use?

Also, do these give a "blue-ish" tint as HID's did when they first came out?

I plan to have these installed with my Diode Dynamics sequential switch back turn signals. Anyone here have that combination? Is the sequential speed the same as the DD switch backs? (I also have the DD sequencer on the tail lights) so I don't want to have mismatched sequence speeds.

Lastly, has anyone received a DTC error going from HID to the LED's?

Thank you

I can’t speak to the Morimoto’s but the Alpharex lights don’t cause any blink issues or mismatches. I have the DD sequential turn signals as well. Also, the color temp is around 6K which is a white light. I believe the morimotos are also around 6K.

I can confirm there is no “switchback” issues with the Morimoto heading us and blinker/marker lights.

As to color, they are not blue, they are true white, which I believe is in the 6000k, as mentioned.

I also believe all the Morimoto lights are DOT approved

thank you for your help. Now I have to decide if to go with the Alpharex or Morimoto headlights.

An important issue was brought to my attention. Headlight sealing and heat. For those of you that may have these, how would you rate the headlight seal. I don't want to have ones that get "Condensation fog" on the inside, and would you say the fans are adequate to cool the LED's and internal air? I live in the SF Bay Area and these would be going in my '15 GT that currently has HID's
