Flashing the tune on the ECU needs to be done by ASE tech. I know it sounds silly. My GT is a new 2017, so I want to maintain the factory warranty and properly comply to Ford Performance warranty as well

I did my install of the PP2, then took it to a ASE shop. They looked it over took it for a drive with me, checked for trouble codes and found none.
Paid 25 bucks

How do you prove it to Ford this was done? Show them the receipt?

Can someone inform me how the tune flashing process goes, in regards to what tune you are able to use? For example, when you buy say PP1, do you have the option of downloading all tunes 1 - 3, or can you only flash the PP1 tune? I ask this, because I plan to swap my stock intake manifold for the 2018 Mustang GT version, and was hoping I could buy PP1 but flash the PP3 Tune.

You only get the tune you purchase.

Once you have it installed, you need to register for the warranty with the proof of installation submitted.

And at no time during the install does it ask you for any information relating to ASE certification nor do you have anything to send in.

I did it myself and have no reservations about doing so.

I'm also running the Velossa Tech Big Mouth with the Mishimoto silicon induction hose. Its a nice little combination that works well with the PP1.

If you could do this, how would Ford ever sell power pack 2 or 3? Lol
