Just went out for a hill country cruise. Two lanes winding roads. 80 degrees. I'm just struck by the fact this is a Mustang. It's so fun to drive and has such great road manners. Incredible job Ford. Well done!

I just did the same up around Palo Pinto, Possum Kingdom, and Ranger. I don't really have much frame of reference since the only other Mustang I drove was a v6 rental several years ago, but this 2015 is just plain awesome. I kept waiting for the ass end to bounce around like everyone says about the previous generation, but it never happened. I noticed just a hint of push a couple times but certainly nothing like I was used to in the GTI.

I never planned on tracking this car, but now I feel compelled to at least take it to some sort of driving school.

Agree- 3.55, sport+, sport steering, good tires and sport FRPP make for a great handling and soooo much fun to drive car. I feel sorry for those so called enthusiasts that automatically write the car off because it's a mustang. They'll never know what they're missing. The car is simply freaking awesome.:headbang:

Couldn't agree more! And I wasn't even getting on it. The whole car is just amazing. I know in recent years the Mustang has gotten better and better but my last one was a 89 LX 5.0 and well for me it's just WOW! This rides and handles better than any other performance car I've owned or driven. It feels wonderfully composed and precise. The seats are really comfortable and hold you in. The tilt/telescopic steering wheel allows for perfect distance for me. It definitely feels as good as a car costing twice as much and mines the V6!! Oh and I got 25.4 MPG in around town driving so far! This week as I go back n forth to work it's more Hwy, so we will see what happens. I'm not pushing her at all for the first 1000 miles and I know it takes time for the engine to break in but I'm getting pretty good mileage now so I'm really looking forward to seeing what she can do when she's all broken in :ford: :clap2::clap2:

I have to just say it... I'm in love!!

You can definitely tell the weight when you start pushing corners. It's a great car but the weight and overall dimensions are a little too hefty for a stang to me.

Agree. I've owned several performance cars and this does it all extremely well. Fun factor of 10.

I agree. I look for excuses to drive this car. I pretty much dropped all my other hobbies and spend time learning about driving techniques, or learning about this car. And driving it is amazing! I even taught my wife to drive stick and she didn't stall at all!!!!

edit - there are so many people that say this car feels too big...I would have to agree with them when I first bought it. when your driving it, it does feel enormous. at first....
now I park it next to other cars, look back at it and realize how small it is. this car now feels smaller, and drives better then my E90.

You were in my area then!
I'm the soccer coach at Ranger College and live in Ranger so I get to dive the back roads out here often. Where do you live, what color is yours, and how often are you out this way? I have a triple yellow 50th anniversary app pkg GT in case you're out here and we see each other we can say hello.

I live in Arlington so I don't make it out that way very often, but after a little break-in I just had to take this thing out for a proper drive! I remembered FM4 from when I was working near Graford several years ago.

Mine is a base model in Guard with performance package.
