Just had Viking Warrior double adjustable rear shocks along with Steeda Adjustable Pro Action front struts installed. What a world a difference over stock.
Yes I know that’s a given but it’s a night and day difference and very happy with this setup. I also have Steeda sport progressive springs.
Car feels so much more planted off the line and overall handling.
Anyone else running this setup or either shocks?

I have the KellTrac Ultra Spec Inverted Double Adjustable Viking shocks on mine. Still running factory struts and springs up front, with BMR drag springs out back.

Does your car have Magneride or standard suspension?

Standard suspension.
I need to tweak the front struts up just a little ans besides feels perfect to me.
I’ve heard nothing but good thinks with Viking products.

How you like those BMR? Are those comparable to the Steeda progressives?

I like the inverted Vikings a lot, they offer plenty of clearance between the half shaft boots.

I havent driven the car with the BMR springs yet. I did add Steeda spring spacers on top of them because I really didn’t want the car to be any lower in the rear, for fear of possible tire rub. I’m not sure if they’re comparable to the Steeda progressives.

@Fusion Training Systems what settings are you running on your Vikings? Are you dialing it in for street or track?
Right now we have it dialed in for street. Once I get my welds put on we’re gonna adjust it over to drag set up.
Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I’ll have it all set up.
Before I had these put on the car was so damn bouncy and was very uncomfortable ride. In the corners or going straight WOT it handled very well. But driving around it beat the heck out if you.
Now it’s perfect.
How you have yours set up?
this all new to me so learning as o go.

I’m still trying to find what my car likes for shock settings and launch rpm. My car is a manual, so that adds even more of a challenge. Kelly @ KellTrac told me to start out with 4 compression and 9 rebound for shock settings. He also told me to launch at 5K instead of 7K like I was doing and if the car bogs, to keep increasing launch rpm a little at a time until the bog is eliminated and the car hooks.

Now I have switched to the BMR Siri gs, so I’ll be starting g all over again.

I have mine currently set at 3 compression and 5 rebound. Much more for street use. The shop I take my car to, Finish Line Performance Close to Cincinnati, is gonna help me set it up for the strip. I have the 10R80 and NA right now so should be less of a hassle getting to hook. Then this winter goes back in to then to the ESS G3 kit.
Keep me posted once you dial it all in.

Still contemplating what suspension setup to go with. May go with Viking. Been holding out for Ohlins coilovers setup.

Get with @beefcake to help you decide which ones to get for your setup.
He’s helped me out tremendously.

@beefcake are coilovers hard on the shock mounts? I’ve heard of people breaking them. Just curious as to what, if any reinforcements are needed, so that they don’t tear away from the car’s body? Thanks

Sway bars help too, I loved adding sway bars on my S197. I am sure you will feel noticeable improvement on your S550 as well.

Did you add both front and rear?
What were the big differences you noticed when adding them?
Thank you
