You might want to re-check that door comment. The doors do not lock. Thats was something I brought up awhile ago and the dealer confirmed it. After shutting off the car, 30 seconds later the steering locks and center console, but the drivers door and passengers door do not automatically. After walking away and putting your fob at a safe distance come back to the car and you will see the doors remain open.

And this was like this before I started playing with forscan, and I have the enhanced security package too.
yeah, checked again. noise was only coming from console and steering :/

easiest solution = tap top of handle before walking away

Yeah I know that bud, but when you come from several cars that lock after walking away its not a habit you remember. Hence also the comment about rocket science :D If we have enhanced security, what is the point of the steering locking and center console when the doors dont? Hell even the glove box doesnt lock, but the steering and console does.

Enhanced security should lock the doors.

steering lock after 30 seconds IMO is like when you remove the key from a car with key.. we are keyless so it locks steering wheel "when you remove the key" (sort of).

True but everything inside will be stripped and gone, but hey the chassis will still be there (Cue state farm commercial with car in cinder blocks).

Looking to ourchqse ScanTool MX wifi. Since I'm an iPhone user. Any one havin any luck using that and FORScan to do this? I have an old ELM 227 I modified with a toggle switch and it reads MS an just fine but I keep getting the interupted error since it writes to slow. I want to be sure the ScanTool MX wifi doesn't write to slow as well prior to purchasing.

Yes I know I can not program with my iPhone I will do programming on my laptop (windows) but I was looking to buy the wifi version so I can use it to program with my laptop then when I'm not programming use it with apps such as dash commander while driving. If I get the blue tooth version I can only use it for programming not any apps on my phone.
Just want to be sure I can do the programming on my windows laptop with the wifi version

1. you need to be in track mode to use line lock if I remember correctly. if you for sure have the hardware, i believe it needs to be enabled in ABS as well. not sure where it is. don't have mine available, if there a non-ASBUILT config for ABS available to you? try going to track mode, and seeing if the line lock option isn't greyed out. If it is still greyed out, try enabling in ABS.
Tried again, still greyed out in track mode so need to edit some other module. Guessing there is specific asbuilt data as none of the non-asbuilt modules have anything else to change that is obvious.

1. oops yes I thought we were talking about the trans oil temp (which isn't on my 15 GT PP, at least). I don't remember seeing diff temp either.
Ah I thought it was something we could enable as it is listed in the IPC module per my previous screenshot. No big deal.

2. I'm confused. Are you talking about autolocking the doors when you're driving and you hit 20mph or whatever? (available in IDS)
I'm talking about this. Call it anti car jack mode if that makes more ense. We don't have that enabled in AUS and I'd like to enable it. I'm used to tapping the top of the door handle every time I walk away to lock it so I don't care about that "autolock" feature you guys are talking about. Guess I could hit the lock button when I take off but hey, we all get used to silly features on other cars so figured I'd ask.

forscan cannot do module config on ios or android. you need windows to configure.

http://forscan.org/comparsion.html

you can only use the dashboard/PID info with ios/android.
