Probably not possible...when opening the windows with the remote, it would be nice if the car would confirm that the windows are, indeed rolling down - I can't see when approaching from the front / rear, and sometimes I don't push the button correctly, and either window still open, or only partially open. Horn double honk would be a good indicator of window rolling down with fob.
If there is one late Ford that has a certain feature and technical/hardware setup matches there is at least a little chance of enabling it in our ponies. If not, forget it. :)

now to get configurable gills.. another part I hate at night. If I turn my lights off, I want the lights off.
I dont think its possible, it seems they are on a constant remote power source, plus it doesnt even show up in forscan as a drl option which leads me to believe they are not configurable, only way at the moment unless someone proves me wrong is re-wiring.

Which I am going to have done next week when I have my multi-color LED with amber turn signals put in, I am thinking of re-wiring it so the gills stay off during the day and come on only at night.

They dim as you switch the light on so they must be wired to a relay or controller which might be configurable

this is what I was thinking, if the BCM is already dimming the lights, there must be a way to kill them.

Okay I decided to go through the whole thread and put in one post all the requests still outstanding and the ones not possible and am putting a link in the first post so that we can keep track, because they are becoming scattered all over the place. I will try and keep it updated as we go along. I figured this way as things get found they will be added to the sheet Fionic is keeping track of, and the ones that fail will be added to the linked post, this way we're not looking everywhere for the requests and to see if they have been done or asked.

Requests Outstanding so far:

Last Drive Mode remembered
Digital Speedometer
Sequential tail lights for the brakes
Sequential hazard lights
Gear changes
Transmission temp monitoring in the dash
Change gear ratio
Increase throttle response
Dash vacuum/boost gauge
DRL on/off option in the IPC
Fin/gills by the headlights being off during the day
Collision Warning With Bake Support turned off
Disable the sensor on the door handle
Turn signal pattern
Remove the 3mph or less speed limit from SYNC

Not Possible:

Remote detection
Global windows up
EU-style tail light operability
Remote start on M/T with shifter in N

One more to add to the list is enabling support for the illuminated sill plates for the cars that have the wiring harness in place. There is an ongoing thread discussing this here: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20596&page=15

Mustangchief posted these values stored in the BCMB module to enable the power and MyColor support to the sill plates:

Change 7B7-01-1 to 0042 0000 02
In the LE and 50Yrs Pkg it is 0040 0000 00

Thanks!

Not sure about the BCM controlling them. If it's just a simple relay (because those gills are mustang specific) we might not be lucky.

That could also be because they are relayed into the the turn signal or side marker, which turn on when the dial is set to parking lights or headlights.

pain in the ass to figure that out but I will check against builts from eu spec cars.
I think it's not possible to set DRLs off. EU spec does not have the tribars, but we have an additional bulb in fog lights that acts as DRL so either way, _there is_ a DRL light.

Only thing that we could play on is that our stupid drl-in-fog-lights are on only with all the other lights off; when you switch on parking lights or headlights, they go off. Don't know if they are relayed also, but this could be a setting stored somewhere since yours don't go off but dim.

was this confirmed?
I do know that it is has been reported in one of the illuminated sill threads that you can enable the illuminated sill support if you have the wiring harness in place and you update a value(s) in the BCMB. What I have not heard yet is if this specific setting has been tried and confirmed.

I just ordered the programmer and will pull down the software tonight (hopefully it will run on Windows 10). If all goes well I should be able to test this over the weekend and report back.

Totally missed this yesterday :headbonk:

I'm sure there's a line of code that tells the BCM to reset back to default once cycled. Whether it's able to be modified, I'm not sure. I would like to see the pinouts of the switches and what sort of reference is it sending to the BCM in the first place and how the BCM interprets it to be able to make any strides.
I wouldn't want this for normal use of my car but would love a way to permanently lock wet/snow mode just for when leaving the car at the dealer. It would reduce the amount of abuse a dealer employee could do or at least spoil all the fun. LoL

I was perusing the workshop manual and found this. Hosted it separately so y'all can save it and it can be used for reference. I'll continue to add anything people request as well. May help someone on their quest.

Thanks a lot. I saved it.

Regarding hosting it separately, is there a reason you think that makes it more accessible, particularly down the road? I figured hosting it in the forums made it more likely to still be accessible in the future. Its just that I see old DIY threads that are now useless because the OP has deleted the pics or their account wherever they hosted (or the hosting company changed policies - are you listening Imgur?). I'm sure forums do periodic housecleaning but can't remember threads with missing forum hosted pics.

Just interested for deciding where I should host.

Has anyone found a way to have the 12v power outlets turn off when the ignition is turned off?
