I was looking at my differential to confirm my gear ratio to order a tune, and I noticed a screw/plug seems to be missing. Can anyone confirm this is an issue, and if so, should I replace it? Could I be missing oil?

Does your differential cover have a FoMoCo stamp somewhere on it? Did you buy the car new or used?

I bought it used. I don't have it jacked up at the moment to search for the stamp, but I can take a look this afternoon.

The threaded hole is normal , I have a 3.73 and my cover looks different, but looking at pics online I see a few that look just like yours.

My diff has a temp sensor tapped onto the cover ( stock )

You could always run your car by a Ford dealership if you aren't sure.

It does look like the holes are supposed to be there, but not sure what the non-threaded hole does. Anyways, if you wanted to do your own Google searching, your car has a Super 8.8 differential in it.

That hole is normal, if you had a performance pack car that is where the diff temp sensor is supposed to go. You dont have a perf pack car so nothing goes there.

The lower hole is for the differential temp sensor. According to the '19 service manual it is a standard feature but if your PCM is not reporting it missing then your car probably should not have the sensor.
