Do I have to order the sound tube cover and wait another week or is there a way I can work around or find something at the stock to put in it?

I’m confused what you’re trying to ask?

If I understood correctly, you have to drill out your own hole in the JLT intakes in order to use the stock sound tube.

No, I'm going to remove the sound tube when I install the intake and the cap that covers the hole for the sound tube is missing, I'm guessing my wife accidentally threw it away. I was just wondering if there's anyone that bought a cap from Home Depot or such since I don't want to end up with a vacuum leak...

If you install a JLT, you can just rip the sound tube out. I got rid of it immediately, no vacuum leaks. My JLT did'nt have any provision on it for a sound tube at all. Then a plug in the firewall to keep the engine bay fumes from getting inside the car is all that is needed...

I just used a generic rubber plug I got at the hardware store. I forget what size it was... The hole is about an inch or maybe a bit bigger... Maybe someone will chime in with info. You can get a kit from Steeda that gives both the firewall plug and the cap for the factory air box to delete the sound tube... Not a huge deal, you can get it all installed and running, just disconnect at the intake end and leave sound tube in place for now and remove later.

Yup, just get a plastic cap from your local hardware store. That’s what I did.
