Hey guys,

We are interested in expanding the color options of our popular baffled oil catch can. If you aren’t familiar with this product, check out the link below for some basic information.

http://www.mishimoto.com/compact-baffled-oil-catch-can-2-port.html

This catch can is extremely efficient at separating fluid from CCV air and we use it in a variety of direct-fit kits and also offer it as a universal component. Up until this point, this catch can has solely been offered as anodized black only. We want to explore other options for colors and we are reaching out to you guys to see what you would like to see.

Check out the options below and let us know what you’d prefer. Keep in mind these images are 3D renderings, so the final version might differ slightly. If there is an idea you have not on this list, feel free to comment with your suggestion!

Thanks for the help!

1. Anodized Black (Current Finish Offered)

2. Anodized Blue

3. Anodized Red

4. Anodized Silver

5. Anodized Gold

6. Polished

Thanks
-John

IMO - even though I don't have one installed at all (or yet), based on your renderings above - I think the black is best because it blends in with the overall engine bay components.

I'm all for having things look stock-like rather than "advertising" or "blinging" things out. That's just me though. :)

The silver looks good too - almost gray, which doesn't stand out too much amongst the existing engine bay components.

Nice product and customer relationship on these forums!

Black for the OEM look. Dunno it's because of the colder weather but mine is catching a ton of hooge.

Thanks for the input Cobra. I personally prefer the subtle black finish myself.

Thanks for the input guys. We posted this poll on a couple different forums and so far red is getting numerous votes.

Thanks! With the cold weather comes condensation within the engine. This typically makes its way into the can through the PCV system.

Thanks

We have not yet determined if we will move forward with producing the red unit. Once a decision is made I will update this thread!

Thanks

I have the black with red hoses. If silver were available when I purchased, I would have gone that way with the red hoses.

I would do either black with red hoses or polished with red or black hoses. Any upcoming deals on these?

Thanks for the feedback! I don't believe we have any upcoming deals on our catch cans or direct-fit EBM kit. If that changes I will definitely follow-up.

Hey look, I have probably the first orange silicone hoses for a catch can from mishimoto!

I still don't get it why you don't have it in default, the inside is already orange.
So I plasti dipped it! Hope it will last because it looks great!

Nice! We've done orange coolant hose kits in the past but the interest just wasn't there. The plasti-dip turned out nice, my only concern would be impact of engine bay heat. Let us know how it works out once installed.

Thanks
