Is there anyone who is running a radar and has mirror tap it to the back of the mirror for the mustang? Or did you just hardwire it to a fuse?

I attach a photo of what the mirror looks like from the back but I’m not sure if all the pins are power pins or not.

I have run a radar detector with mirror taps. It's tons easier and lots cleaner looking too.

Did you just plug them into the wires that are already connected to the pins, or did you use the other pins??

I actually found this video that uses an adapter plugged into the mirror that allows for a 2nd connection. One connection comes from the car as usual, the other is a USB connection allowing you to plug in any USB powered device including a dash cam.

Did you replace you 12pin with the adapter or did you just use the stock 12 pin and install the mirror hardwire ?

The pins of the mirror tap just slide into the actual of the mirror connector. A volt meter will show what ports you need to use. There are probably YouTube videos too. It's pretty simple so don't over think it too much.

Super easy to do. This should show you the wires you need to tap.

Lots of different tap kits out there from blendmount, or others on Amazon, etc.

Ok, I need both switched and unswitched 12v. Are both available at the mirror, or the block containing the rain sensor and front collision camera.

You can also use a led test light. If you have harbor freight around you, they are really cheap and it's also a good tool to have around.

Just clip the alligator clip to a ground, and poke around with the tip until it lights up.
