Just got the Lund flex fuel and e85r tune Friday and got the go ahead to start using the flex tune. I still need to data log the flex fuel WOT pull and e85 WOT pull.

My concern is there is Only 1 gas station with in 20 mins of my house with e85. After filling up using my flex fuel tune and following the correct relearn, the ethanol content is sitting only at 60 %. I know researching it that lunds flex fuel relearn is generous and could be as much as 10 points higher then the actual ethanol percentage. So that being said the ethanol percentage could be anywhere from 50-60%.

I’m assuming I should wait until Lund opens up Monday and email them before even attempting to run the e85r tune? So I guess my question is where do I go from there? If 50-60 percent ethanol is the highest I’m going toget by me... then I’m assuming Lund will just tel me to tune for e50 and send me a revision? Just looking for input. The idea of adding more timing down low when I’m not running anywhere close to e85 scares me and I’d rather not damage the car.

its a 2017 gt with Lu47 injectors and full bolt ons with a ported 18 intake manifold for reference. I’ve searched and only thing I’ve found mentions don’t use the e85r tune if it’s anything less then 80%. Wondering if that’s correct

They said I shouldn't go below 75, but yeah, I wouldn't risk it.

If you haven't already, it might be worth grabbing a glass vial test kit, like the Boost Monkey ones. I use the VP Racing 5 gallon jugs because I'm not street legal, but I do a quick test which doesn't require me pumping or wasting very much at all if it's garbage. We've got a nice page in our regional section with all of the pumps by the tracks and their ratings, which is nice, perhaps you can organize the ones in your area. Another idea would be to look into purchasing some from the race gas vendors, but they tend to be closer to the race gas prices of $8/gal instead of the usual $2-3ish. Good luck.
