Ok, so this is likely a stupid question but here goes. I was mocking up my Kooks LTH to Steeda H Pipe to see how it all goes together. My question is how the narrowed mid pipe from Kooks (2.25" OD) is secured to the forward end of the Steeda H Pipe (2.35"OD)? Every install video I have watched just skips over this connection and just says to use the factory clamp. Since neither tube will fit into the other, are these 2 ends just butted up against each other with the ~3" wide wrap factory clamp? If so how does this not leak?

You’re correct, the tube ends should butt up and the band clamp torqued to spec.
It shouldn't leak but I'd suggest using new OEM or Accuseal 2.25" clamps.
Always place the band clamps in the same location or a leak will develop, the band clamps do leave an impression from tightening so you'll always want to position the clamps in the same spot, this is one of the reason the OEM clamps have the locating tabs built into the clamp.
Proper clamp torque is very important so use a torque wrench.
