Michelin PSC2 spec for the CFTP.
Has anyone else had issues tracking down these tires? I have about $600 in Ford Pass money to use and the Quicklane says they cannot find the tires?

The Michelin site says they currently don't have a supplier who has them.

On the Discount tire site, they list several PSC2 tires at varying prices but all the same size. The only difference is the item number.

Does anyone know what the difference is within the same PSC2 tire base on item number?

Michelin lists the front and rear tires as MSPN: 49942 and MSPN: 89959. Those exact numbers are not listed on the Discount site. Very similar, but not the same. ie Item# 89150 is listed as a selection on the Discount site.

The difference is that the stock tires have sound deadening material in the fronts, not sure about the rears. Tires bought outside of Ford do not have the deadening.

I heard about a potential supply shortage, but was able to get a complete set of FP variants just a month or so ago from Tire Rack. The FP variants were designed specifically for the car. I think it’s more than just sound deadening... I believe the compound is different as well.

Tim is correct, the tread wear is supposed to be car specific as well, I forgot about that.

49942 and 89959 are the Ford Performance spec OE tire. The others may be similar, but not the OE tire. They have "FP" molded into them on the sidewall.

Yes! If you order from Tire Rack, they will literally be listed as Ford Performance variants.

I see you picked up on my reference to “corner” the market.
Funny!

It’s all that “cornering” that lead me to buying an extra set to have on hand! I have 8 track sessions on my current set.
