After about 13,000 miles on the stock Pirelli PZero Nero A/S tires, my rears hit 3/32” of tread and needed replacement, but I figured I’ll replace all 4 at once. I never really liked the P Zeroes and always struggled to get grip, wet or dry. I decided to give the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ a shot since it has some great reviews along with the entire Pilot Sport lineup. My initial impressions are quite good, even with 255 width I am able to get solid grip off the line and in turn in. Handling is significantly improved without sacrificing ride comfort or road noise. Albeit it doesn’t provide the maximum bite that a summer only Pilot Sport 4S or Cup 2 would provide, the A/S 3+ is a significant upgrade over the P Zeroes and I am so excited to put some miles on them. I highly recommend them if you’d like to stick with an all season tire.

I use them as a winter set and I have no complaints. Yes there is a difference in handling from the MP4S's but for an A/S tire they certainly hold their own. Can't comment on tread life at this point.

I haven't had the A/S 3+ tires in the snow yet but so far in the hot, cold, and rain they are really great tires on my 18 GT both in the handling and comfort department but also in looks. My previous Cooper tires had that 'bubble' look at 275/40/19s but these have a very nice 'square' look instead. Can't go wrong.

How is the road noise with the A/S 3+ ? I am currently running 265-35-20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical A/S tires and they seem ok but not great. Sorry to highjack the thread but I am interested in the A/S 3+ tires as well.

Road noise is not bad at all, and I feel that it is quieter than the P Zero Neros. Ride quality is also improved without feeling floaty or anything.

I did not get the run flats, didn't even realize they were offered actually. I got mine ordered and installed through Sams Club (they are currently running a $70 off 4 Michelin tires if you are a member)

I don't have experience with the PS4s but from my understanding they don't have the full bite that a summer only high performance tire like the PS4 would have but still deliver solid grip in wet and try conditions. They will also perform better in colder weather since they are all seasons after all.

I had A/S 3+ on my BMW, PS4s on my Mustang. The A/S3+ were decent all-seasons, but had nowhere near the bite that the PS4s have. That being said, I'd run the A/S3 until mid-December before switching to winter tires. I'll be moving the PS4s off the car much sooner than that.

PS4s are amazing
I'm sure there are better track tires but on the street ....4's are worth the coin

I am buying AS3+'s next week, I can't have the Stang sitting all winter. I will not bring her out in snow or anything, I need all seasons for the temperature range really. I will be running them all year round here in CO, from reviews and other stories, they are great performers in the summer as well.

I'm getting mine installed tomorrow. Picked up a set of Performance Pack Satin wheels and using them as cold weather wheels.
Bought the car last weekend and can't let it sit all winter. The Pilots will go into storage till summer.

I just put AS3+ In factory sizes on my PP wheels. They stick right out of the driveway in 30 degree temps and are quiet. I ran 285/35 PS4S front and 305/35 rear PSS tires this summer on 20lb wheels. The stock wheels are 30lbs. The car feels sluggish accelerating and braking with the heavy stock wheels. But, the stock size 255/40 front AS3+ tires do make the steering feel nimble; compared to the 285s. I’m happy with this cold weather rig.

I plan to switch to the new GT350 FP spec PS Cup2 rear tires this summer.

Cheers,

Well, the A/S3+'s are installed, fantastic tire. They are very responsive, grippy, low noise and ride very well. I am a believer for sure.
