Question for people who own thr MGW. Does the shifter remove the notchy feeling going between gears? I have read some post say it does i just want to know mainly if that is the shifter or more the transmission. Also in honest can this be installed while just on jack stands? Thanks big time

Does the shifter remove the notchy feeling going between gears? Yes , my MT82 no longer feels like a MT82 ..It now feels like a real transmission ..



Also in honest can this be installed while just on jack stands? Thanks big time... Yes ..To make it easy remove the exhaust and the drive shaft ..

I can answer both of those.
I would say yes this shifter removes that notchieness, I've only had it a week and already I'm forgetting the feel that I didn't like, this shifter positively locks into each gear and you have no sence that it could pop out of gear. When you shift it is smooth and very controlled you can feel the machined path guiding it but like its a highly polished shaft rolling on smooth greased bearings instead of the clunky feel of the stock shifter.
And as far as the install goes, yes you can do it on jack stands. Watch the install video and he gives you a step by step. [ame]

Nobody stocks them ...They are built to order ..Took about 3 weeks for mine ...

up for debate about removing the driveshaft. Both ways take about the same amount of time according to people so its not a time saver. Or use it as an excuse to get a new driveshaft People have posted they did it in 2 hours with jackstands

Iceman, if you drive down to Augusta Ga and buy it from them, he will install it while you watch for free. Takes about and hour and a half.

Didn't say it saved time .. But it was much easier But I was doing the drive shaft at the same time :cheers:

Terryrwood, I live over in savannah Ga. It would definitely be worth it if they do indeed install it for free if you drive there. I think Augusta is about a 2 hour drive.

They do, I'm in Columbia which is about an hour away and this will be my next mod, it's a steal given they will install for free.
