You can't go wrong either way. They are both solid products and it will change the experience of driving your Mustang for the better in both cases. I love my Steeda, but I certainly wouldn't mind trying out someone's MGW setup.

Yeah, I am excited for the Steeda shifter. Should be a night and day difference over the stock shifter. A fluid change helped the MT-82 a lot and I am sure this is going to just transform it. This isn't against MGW, but I love all my Steeda parts and David has always taken great care of me.

While I can understand the bonus of having the free MGW install, it's really not relevant to the majority of us that don't live anywhere near their shop. If I recall, they're in South Carolina or Georgia. For me, that's like a 8-10 hour drive! Looks like the OP is in Rhode Island so yeh, not a selling point!:cheers:

EDIT: Forget Rhode Island. I misread that. OP is from California! So again, free shop install is not a perk!

I have not gotten my hands on an MGW but I did install the Steeda short throw in my car and did a side by side vs stock and it is a huge improvement over the sloppy stock unit. heres the vid:
