MGW install and review .. After watching the install video twice I chose to remove the exhaust and drive shaft to makes the install easier ..Taking out the drive shaft was a job all by itself but it sure make putting the shifter in easy .. I smashed my finger pretty bad and that made it very hard to install the rubber boot that comes with the shifter ..I had a friend come over and help me with that part .. The boot was the hardest part of the hole install , everything else was a simple ..

I have to say the MGW shifter is very well built , it's almost a shame you can see it after it's installed ..I went with the MGW white ball with the 6 speed pattern in black ... Looks right at home in the Mustang ..

Driving ... I went to local car show tonight ( all Mustang show ) ..Shifting the car now feels like a top loader ..No more slop , dead solid shifts ..No NV at all ... In fact it makes less NV than the stock shifter and that did surprise me ..Anyone thinking about a MGW Race Spec shifter think no more !!! Just get it !!!

I think I know the answer, but the MGW shifts into reverse by pushing down correct? And the Barton shifts just like factory?
Not that it matters either way, I just want to make sure I have this right.

Got to try my new MGW shifter at the track tonight ... Speed shifting at 7500 was like butter ..Never missed a gear ...I feel so much better about my car now ...I was hating this M6 trans but now it's like the best trans I have ever had ..Dead solid shifts ..No more guessing what gear you might end up in .. No high RPM lock outs .. No gears grinding ... This is a must have if you are going to drag race your Mustang ..

Thank you MGW !!!!!!!!!!

Sure got rid of it in my car .. I also installed a braided clutch line at the same time .. Speed shifting I was getting a little scratch at times in all gears but not with the MGW .. Street driving is much much better now also ..The MGW shifter really shows you how bad the factory shifter is ..

Not sure about back order but they are built to order. When I ordered mine he told me it would be built and shipped and it took a few weeks but worth every second.

I have never seen a better built, stronger shifter in my 30 years of modifying cars. This shifter is second to none and worth every penny.
