I recently got a great deal on a used MGW shifter. However, it is missing a few of the bolts, the shifter boot gasket, and the insulation that goes over the transmission tunnel on the interior.

I figure I can create my own insulation and figure out something for the shifter boot, however I would like to know the size of the bolts so I can get go grab them.

Does anyone have the bolt sizes? Thanks!

I just submitted a request for the information on their website. Hopefully they won't be upset that I bought it used instead of through them. :frusty:

LOL I'm sure that won't be an issue. They have the best customer service in the industry. I also bought a used shifter but it had a messed up reverse spring and no insulation so I contacted George and he had me send it back to him. He rebuilt the entire thing and sent me all the installation materials only for the cost of parts. It was like $35 with shipping for him to go through it and make it right. Awesome service!!

Wow!

Maybe I should have asked how much it'd be for me to ship mine to them to just go over it and make sure everything was in spec as well.

For sure give them a call. It will be less than you think. I can't sing their praises enough.

the armor coated bolts for the upper and lower connections are 5/16-18

one is like 1 inch long and the other 2 are 1 1/2 i believe .

I can find out for sure monday.

Thanks George!

I watched the video yesterday and it looks like I need the rubber shift boot and the grommet for the leather shifter cover.

As long as they are normal bolts, I can grab them from a hardware store.
