Is anyone running meth injection and 85? Curious to see if this is an odd ball thing and for the peeps that actually run it, what if any are the advantages. I know this is a thing for my c7 z06 but as it cools iats and has other advantages but what about the yote?

Cause you spraying after the MAF. E85 runs supercool anyways. Your changing the stoic, which is finicky enough with a engine not designed for >15% etc., etc.

E85 is cooler yes but it will not cool down the incoming air much. Many people run e85 and w/m works just fine

Depending on your setup, meth really isn't needed. Most blowers designed today are very efficient and simply adding an expansion tank or intercooler bricks will be all you will need. I don't see any setups that have much timing being pulled from IAT's when done correctly. Like you stated however, I had a struggle to keep my c7 z06 temps in check but I still ended up handling them well without meth. If you have any questions about what you can do to help with heat management, feel free to shoot me a message anytime. Lethalperformance.com

Does NOTHING unless you either relocate the IAT or use a IAT 2 with a retune. That's a lot of work for minimal gain. But being the Mustang world.. people don't seem to have a problem spending a grand for 2hp.

Meth injection fell out of favor because it's a larger failure risk than other approaches. In order to really take advantage of it, it has to be tuned in and relied upon and if the pump or sprayer or anything in the system fails, it's no bueno. That's true of other systems (like primary fuel) but whether it's reality or perception, there's the notion out there that the meth kits aren't ultra reliable.

If you're looking for cooling effect, a simple 50 shot of nitrous would have similar effects and whether true or false, doesn't carry as much of a reputation for risk because you're tuned in for additional fuel if the NO takes a shit.

I'm seeing more and more guys tune for methanol in the fuel these days. Which is crazy because at $10/gallon, it reminds me of going to the range and shooting .50 cal at $7-$10 per bang.

You don’t have to tune for W/M to see benefits. You can put the w/m nozzle right after the maf and you will get a lot of iat cooling. Add a large nozzle or a second nozzle and get the octane boost. You car will adjust fuel on its own. W/m kits are not dangerous unless you’re car is dependent on it and they don’t fail hardly ever and you can get safety measures with the kit that will save your engine very cheap. W/m can get fuel anywhere and still get 20-25 mpg. If you tune for e85 a flex tune is the only way to go for me
