Exactly. Carbon Dioxide is the number one greenhouse gas. You need to show some proof where it shows water vapor retaining more heat than carbon dioxide. Unless you think more clouds in the sky would cause a runaway warming effect?

Use your head, do some analysis on your own. The vast majority of what people call green house gases is water vapor. CO2 is a very, very small percentage. The biggest effect on Earth's temperature is that big yellow ball in the sky, its cycles of flares, and the Earth's variable distance from it.

This is a political subject and probably shouldn't be discussed here. But at the same time, do your own analysis and use the brain you were given. Don't just regurgitate something you were fed by someone else. Climate change IS weather. It's been much hotter in the past with much less CO2 in the air and also much colder. This planet has cycles. Answer this - what is the perfect temperature? Should man hold the planet at that temperature if he had the ability?

And one last comment - there is NO such thing as "settled science." Science is about proposing theories and others trying to knock them down or finding more evidence to back them up. Even the most basic equations we use today are still theories. We use them because they have yet to be disproven and perhaps some of them never will be. The climate models used today cannot even match know historical data - why do you think they are valid for predicting the future?

I would just like to add a couple quick things to this.

The medieval warming period actually had higher global temperatures than we do today, proven by different studies using different methods with the same results. That was without the much larger amount of CO2 we have today.

Earth emits lots of these harmful gases on its own. Do humans contribute? absolutely we do. The fact is human contributions are probably much lower than most people believe.

We have only had records for about 150 years. This isn't even a blip in time for earth.

I have recently read some that climate studies are actually leaving out water vapor, the leading greenhouse gas. This greatly skews numbers. I am not saying it's true or false, but people have been caught fudging numbers before.

Lots of info out there. Such a highly political topic is a bit difficult to really pick out the facts. As always you gotta consider the source. It is really cool stuff though.

I agree that humans could take much better care of our planet, especially when you look at other things besides our air pollution. I don't agree that anthropogenic climate change is a big issue.

Interesting video, I just like this car more and more everytime I see it. Yes Ford is obviously pushing the ECO over the GT to be the volume model. It will help CAFE and their Green Initiative greatly. It allows pricks like myself to continue to enjoy our dinosaur bone consuming V8's

And Ford will be pulling this video down in 1...2....3

:rant:Maybe it's just me( I'm a self admitted A-Hole) but the the presenter is, I assume, doing a dealer sales training? :shrug: Why has the trend to treat adults like children when making presentations become common place? After three words I was already tuned out. I don't need your fake enthusiasm while you show me the hot button features. Speak to me...or better yet have a guy/girl that is involved in the Mustang program, or at least who doesn't sound like they are still struggling with acne show me the the features of the car. I've worked with people like this, no one is naturally this upbeat, typically in my experience they blow their brains out in a company vehicle.

Respect me a little, it's ok to be honest Ford, you are trying to get the Fast & Furious Crowd as well as the M3 crowd, I get it, I do, have some faith in the Dealer sales staff to do their job and properly profile their marks. It's what they do, the good ones are really good at it. If the car is anything you have built it up to be the third shift will be busy keeping up. :rant:

This is the problem. Someone comes out claiming something with ZERO proof at all. You are at the burden of evidence to prove that water vapor retains more heat than CO2, which is in higher concentrations in the atmosphere than some people seem to think. I think very well for myself and have seen quite a lot of research papers on the subject. This is not a political subject at all, it's a scientific subject. And climate change is NOT weather. Climate change is the climate as a whole over a period of time. Weather is very short periods of the current. Try again. Speaking of theories, you know what else is a theory? Gravity.
