I have been reading about these issues since day one. Decided to trade my 15EB in for a 19GT/CS last week. Could not be happier. If something happens, i'll deal with it. You should consider doing the same.

Yes.

I bought mine knowing that there was issues with the MT-82's and the ticking.

My transmission has already blown and I have the tick. I also have warranty. While it isn't ideal and it pisses me off that I have to have the repairs done - it wouldn't keep me from buying one again. Hell if I ever had to do a buy back with Ford I'd end up getting another 2019 GT.

Issues have been completely blown out of proportion.

A 2018+ GT with the A10 is the best all around Mustang ever imo. Definitely the sweet spot in the Mustang range at the moment and the best bang for your buck performance car out there.

Well I think all of the GTs (auto/manual) '18+ are going to have the 2k rpm grind/rattle sound. Mine developed within the first 500 mi. It's fairly minor and I barely notice it when the car is warmed up. I don't have the tick.....hopefully I never do. The rattling dash and rear passenger area with only 1700 mi is definitely a letdown. Of course another car could rattle too, just didn't expect this already.

Honestly, if I didn't get my '19 GT for what I did (<$29K), I probably would have gotten a Camaro 1SS. But the GT's visibility is better and the best deal I could get on a Camaro 1SS was still $4K more.
But if I was getting a more optioned out GT or a PP, I'd get a Camaro 1SS. You won't be dealing with 2K rattle, potential bbq tick.....and that's good enough for me.

I couldn’t imagine choosing a Camaro over a PP. No friggin way. If you are the neurotic type that sticks their head under the car to listen to sounds definitely stay away as a 4 cam direct injection motor makes all kinds of wonderful evil noises. A Toyota may be more appropriate (except say my beautiful v8 land cruiser)

The rattle is most likely due to studs from the flywheel or torque converter hitting a spacer plate. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/could-the-2018-19-s550-5-0-“rattle”-be.119524/

Then you’re a brand loyalist or you obviously haven’t driven an SS. Because that car drives as good or better than a GT PP.

My answer is yes.
I would risk it. I think the risk, while real, is exaggerated.

It is too ugly for me. Visibility is crap and I can always tune mine as I see fit. Hell no.

And don’t assume anything about me.

I stated that you were a brand loyalist or you haven’t driven an SS. Not I “assumed” you were/haven’t. LOL.

Perhaps. But that doesn't overcome the poor experience of sitting inside it. One test drive and the SS was off my list without even getting to the "see how my wife likes it" stage.
