Hello; Thing is there are already so many laws on the books that using a gun in any way can get a person into trouble legally. Even using a gun in a proper way can and does result in criminal prosecution and later civil trials. Several folks using guns in a proper way have been charged and taken to court.
Anyone who carries for protection has to understand the secondary problems that can come about from defending your life or the life of another. Perfect example is Kyle Rittenhouse who prevailed in a highly publicized self-defense trial and now faces a civil court trial.
